On the day that we remember all that was in Pearl Harbor,

could we pause to pray for our military and their families?

Often facing tremendous, unspeakable loss on the battlefield….
yet dedicated to preserving freedom.

I know with our son on his 5th depl*yment, anything to do
with the military makes me a weepy mess.

This has been a very difficult season for those depl*yed.

There has been much loss.

Not to mention:

Thanksgiving without family.

Christmas is almost upon us as well.

Family events without the people they so desperately love.

Please pray for our heroic military,
their families and their extreme sacrifice.

  1. Praying for your son and for all those who are deployed and their families who wait with hope for their return. Lord Jesus shield and protect, soothe and care for all those in the military as soldiers and as family.

  2. Amen! I've always been a little emotional about the military since my husband and father were in the Army and Navy. Now the word military has a whole new meaning since my son and daughter have just signed up and will be leaving this spring. I am sure it is difficult for you as a mom because I know it is going to be difficult for me. I pray for safety for everyone of them.

  3. A family lost a son that was deployed in Afghanistan over Thanksgiving weekend. They live 30 miles south of us. Don't know them but sad that he was just weeks away from coming home! There was a nice story done on what Adam shared in his life with others. Thankful his brother is safe in the Marines as well. It is hard to lose one so dear this time of year but then again, it's never easy losing a loved one. We pray for our troops daily. Take care and thanks for posting.

  4. PRAYING for Ty safety and for you all. There are yellow ribbon bows all round the house so that I am constantly reminded to pray for him and you. Yellow ribbon out in the garage by the freezer, no place/room has escaped!!!! they will remain until he is safely home. XXX

  5. Thank you. My son is an officer in the Navy. This year … he missed 2 of his siblings weddings, and both Thanksgiving and Christmas with his family. So hard, but I couldn't be more proud of his career choice.
