ER – Please pray!

Ruby is not herself.  I emailed her neurosurgeon to ask about her symptoms.  He emailed me right back.  So we are at Phoenix Children’s waiting for Ruby to be examined.
This could be a false alarm,
but it could be a problem with her shunt.
I admit I’m scared.
Please, would you pray?
This is unchartered water for us and it’s freaking me out.
Thank you so much!

  1. Been reading and praying for awhile, just haven't commented much but have meant to…

My daughter has hydrocephalus too, (albeit not as bad as Ruby), and has two shunts. Shunt failure is very common and very easily remedied. My daughter has had 3 surgeries in the last year for it. Not that getting your child's head cut into is ever easy, but I want you to rest a little easier…if it is indeed just her shunt. 🙂

    love and hugs, Tricia

  2. Praying like crazy in Oklahoma Linny… earlier today after I talked to DW, I emailed saying I was praying for you all and Ruby…didn't know anything was going on at that time. Praying for direction and peace from our Gracious God!

  3. Linny! I've walked through enough with you since July 17th when I first heard of your blog that I feel like I can talk to you like a friend. Fear has one source and it certainly isn't our heavenly father! Submit to God resist the devil and he will flee from you! Cling to Him, get hidden away under his wings and the enemy has to flee!! I am trusting for you, I am standing in the gap believing for supernatural peace to settle in! God has not brought you this far with this precious Ruby to give up now! Look at the picture of her in Emmy's arms in June, only 7 months ago she IS his miracle and will continue to be!! Sending you a huge hug and expecting a great report!!

  4. Long time lurker of your blog. Wanted to let you know that I am praying for Miss Ruby. I live here in Phoenix too and have been walking with a friend and her daughter who is 11 and has hydrocephalus. I have shown her your blog and she has had much encouragement from reading it. Sage spent Thanksgiving and Christmas at Cardon Children's with her shunt issues. I know what a wild ride it is….and I will be praying for wisdom for the drs and peace for you all!

  5. Praying in PA. Be still, Know that He is God, He watches over you, he is where your help comes from, he does not sleep, he will not let your foot slip, he watches both your coming in and your going out both NOW and FOREVERMORE. <>
