Two Things…

First off….
When I led the team last month to Uganda, part of it was made up of
someone we had known when we were pastoring
our third church.
Well they have been driving across the country as a family
and we coerced them into stopping by for a
bit of a visit.
We had a blast.
These are sweet people who are the real deal….
Their daughter, Bee, feels called to serve the orphans of Uganda
and since returning from Uganda last month has not talked
about anything but.
Don’t you just love when kid’s hearts are broken for the orphan
and vulnerable around the world?

Steven and Jody…

And a really special part of our time together was
reconnecting with their son Dale.
When Jody was pregnant with Dale they learned he had a life-threatening
heart defect.   Back then we had the privilege of anointing her belly with oil
and praying over her and the precious baby she was carrying.
He was not expected to live.
BUT GOD has the final say,
doesn’t He?
Dale’s had three heart surgeries and many heart procedures…
but here he is…
a total miracle.

We felt so blessed to have them here
{even if it was brief}.
Which brings me to something else…
I have an incredibly miraculous
family story to share.
When I think of it, I *gasp*.
God has been up to something really amazingly cool.
I had said I was only going to do Memorial Box Monday stories
on the first Monday of each month…
But I can’t help myself.
He is always at work around us and
He has been up to something really breathtaking!
I can’t wait to share tomorrow.
eeeeeek.
“Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done!”
Psalm 105:1
