The Princess is Back in the House

Since Princess Ruby rode her royal chariot home
she has been sleeping.

Did you know it’s actually rumored that Ruby’s chariot
often doubles at odd hours as a big ol’ 12 passenger van
that has food particles ground into the carpet,
zillions of fingerprints on the windows,
and smells kind of funky?

Who knew?

It’s actually so preposterous that I’m not sure I believe it.

Ruby did ask me to thank
all of her friends around the world
for their love, support and prayers.

Her surgeon, Dr. Heimann was a huge blessing with his medical expertise
and kindhearted way. Dr. H. hung around for a quite a while after,
spending time just visiting with us.
We are so very grateful for his sweet care of our precious Ruby-girl.

Dr. Heimann

Ruby had about 3 or 4 tiny seizures as she was recovering.

Yes, those seizures freaked me out.

Seizures are to be respected and the grand mals
she’s had in the past are certainly serious.

Each medical professional who cared in any way for Ruby today
was shown her first-ever picture in the hopes of not only helping
them understand what a miracle she is but imploring them to treat her
with generous amounts of tenderness.

Thank you for all your prayers.

God has, once again, been very faithful.

Ruby is definitely wanting to suck her cherished
recently-found-finger and almost, sorta’ kinda’ able,
but no doubt, it tastes not-quite-so-yummy as it did about 12 hours ago.

Please, if Ruby comes to mind, pray for her continued healing
and a freedom from any more seizures.

Ruby would thank each of you if she could.

Ruby did mention that she wants me to tell you
she loves you all very much.

But on a side note, Ruby was overheard mumbling
something about whoever had the idea of
not allowing her to eat this morning is still very much
on her ‘very, very naughty’ list.

Too bad for you – no present from Ruby this Christmas.

  1. Thank you so much for the update. I was wondering all day how she did. God is so good. I will be praying for her continued good recovery and no more seizures for sure. Sweet, Sweet Ruby. I think of her often. My daughter (13) is allowed to follow your blog so we talk about Ruby often. Your sweet blessing and Gods big miracle girl.

  2. yes I will continue praying, Jesus died for sweet Ruby, His promise is just as true for her cute self as all those He healed back when He walked this earth. Oh how He must melt at the thought of Ruby. Many blessings….. "He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength" Isaiah 40:29

  4. I prayed and will continue to do so. Even in the midst of aching-Mama-heart-for-her-precious-child, you're making jokes. You are a woman of godly perseverance, conviction and love. I love and miss you, Linny.

  5. Thanks for the update. aw, little Ruby and another surgical procedure. Hopefully she will keep improving over time and just be more sweet than ever. I love her little chubby arms. What a difference from her very first picture you showed us. She's come so far just cuz you love her so much! Hugs and thanks and tell Ruby to keep on going!

  6. So glad she is home and smiling. We will continue our prayers for her. Hope she doesn't lose too much weight then they will be yapping that she is too thin. Haha. Seriously she is just right in every way fearfully and wonderfully made. And I keep having a vision of her eating and talking. Go God!
