Took a drive today with my girls for a bit of
special time alone together.
Knowing that many of you have not had the privilege
of seeing the beautiful culture, land and people here,
I grabbed my camera and snapped
some fun pictures of things I could have bought
today while stuck in a traffic jam.
No time to stop at the store?
No problem.
This guy has one of life’s most needed
necessities.
Or maybe you need a few car mats? Yup.
This guy has what you’re looking for…
Or actually gentleman, maybe you are needing an
anniversary present? Ya’ know car mats. They
always are a big hit with that special love of your life.
{j/k}
How about some CDs?
Help yourself.
Or perhaps you need a multi-ended
car charger?
Or maybe you forgot your belt at home?
No worries. We have more.
How about a pair of sneakers?
Or maybe you need a quick birthday present
or
desire to start your Christmas shopping early?
{Sorry blurry, but it’s a pile of kids toys}
Or maybe you’re hungry…
And although I did not get pictures of it all
one could purchase…
candy,
pumpkin seeds,
g-nuts,
oranges,
or even bananas…
Not too long ago there was a TP need
and I shopped while sitting in
a traffic jam..
And come to find out…
Shopping in a traffic jam is pretty sweet deal.
that's one way to shop, for sure! I had a lady follow me from the market place where I was shopping, in Leon, Nicaragua. She, a street vendor, insisted I buy something from her. I walked into the motel I was staying at. Finally someone told her that I wasn't buying anything. That was a bit unnerving, even though I politely sad no more than once then walked away! Hope all is well with you and your friends!
The tiny bananas are excellent! I was in Kenya a couple months ago and my matatu bought out a seller woman's entire basket full of bananas and finished them in a day!
Oh yes… Uganda… we laughed so hard when we saw a lady in Jinga selling bras… she had at least 50 draped over her arms:) Praying you are enjoying this very precious time with your girls!:)
