Get Ready – We’re Coming for a Visit – Updated

Welcome to our Thanksgiving…

my most favorite day of celebration
{next to Mother’s Day}….

We were invited to Stuart and Jennifer’s for Thanksgiving and overnight.  {How fun is that?  A sleep over in the same city!}

So in no particular order…but here’s their home…

Isaiah Skyping with Emma
{and LM}

Jennifer, one of my dearest friends…
so thankful for her and Stuart…
Stuart heated the pool for the kids…
along with the hot tub…
Talk about a blast…

Nothing like a window from the kitchen to the patio

Ruby loves spending Thanksgiving with
Uncle Stuart and Aunt Jennifer…
Happy Thanksgiving to all…

Last night…

Since we need pictures to start in this post, I’ll start off with pictures of us baking together tonight….and will add pictures from our Thanksgiving throughout the day….
{Savannah and Graham were at a Bible study}

Now it’s your turn:

Either post a picture of your day on Instagram and tag us in it….  APlaceCalledSimplicity

OR

Link your exact hyperlink below…and in your blog post, please link back to Our Place Called Simplicity…

Ruby’s thinking:  “Please can I just go to bed?
I’m sooooo tired.”

I am Skyping with Emma as I type this and she said that she was so excited as she loves Thanksgiving and would love to “visit” your Thanksgiving celebrations as well….

Soooooo please link away…

Cause we can’t wait to come for a visit…

{and when we come, we land with a thud –  haha!}

  1. Happy Thanksgiving! We celebrate Harvest in October, so we did the Thankful things with the church then.
    We have our prayer meeting at our house on Thursday and my husband works during the day, so I usually do something somewhat related to Thanksgiving at the weekend. However, I did make 2 apple pies today and we had one with a cup of tea after prayer meeting. No photos though!
    The other I will take to my sewing club on Saturday. I also cooked down a pumpkin my husband grew in his allotment this year. I will make something pumpkin-y to share at a meal are having after church on Sunday because a former pastor and his wife are visiting.
    But I am thinking a bit more about American Thanksgiving this time because my son is with my parents in Maine, so he is having a 'proper' Thanksgiving with them. I have been thinking about you having yours, too.
    God Bless!

  2. Hey, I messed up my link when I submitted my blog. So, I resubmitted and I'm number 9 and 10 :/ My apologies 🙂 I couldn't figure out how to go back in and edit the first entry.

  3. Well isn't that a clever way to get us regular readers but rare commenters to come out of the wood works. haha! I just have to say that your Thanksgiving hosts' home was gorgeous! Her decor is stunning!

  4. I tried to link up for the past couple days and for whatever reason it has not worked:) Thank you for the invitation to "share" Thanksgiving! I very much enjoyed seeing the photos of your beautiful family and the posts of others who celebrated around the globe.
