Graham Josiah Turns 15!!

Almost sixteen years ago the Lord allowed me to conceive and carry this precious son of ours. Graham’s name means: “Out of a multitude God has healed” (and He is the only one who healed me!!) After ten long years of infertility and painful loss, the Lord allowed me to carry Emma to term. She was only nine months old when I again conceived, this time with Graham. Our Graham is named because of the powerful meaning of his name, as well as after the great man of God and evangelist, Billy Graham.
Graham is such a treasure to us. He has a gift of discernment far beyond his years. He has a prophetic gifting that is huge, even having a very clear prophetic dream at the age of three, about something that he did not know anything about. He has had prophetic dreams since.
Graham also loves missions and would not stand for Daddy and Emma to go to Africa without him. When Graham was about 12 years old we were ministering as a family at an orphanage in Mexico. Graham commented, “Isn’t it weird that the kids at the orphanage have nothing, but yet they are so happy? But the kids in America have everything and are completely miserable?” Wise observation for someone so young!! He would like to spend some extended time doing missions in Africa when he is a little older (and we say “okay”). =)
His heart is worship and he is the head of the student worship team. He is a gifted and very talented musician, playing the drums, electric guitar, acoustic guitar and piano (by ear!). He would rather be doing something that has to do with music than anything else, although he can be found on the ski slopes if he can get a ride to the mountain!
Next week Graham and I have a day long date planned and this mama can’t wait to spend time alone with my precious son.
This morning he requested a “skillet” for his breakfast in bed from the diner that one of Dw’s best buds owns….so Daddy drove early this AM to pick up the “skillet” and Jerry surprised Dw with food for everyone to bring home……thanks Jerry – you rock!!

    I know your Momma and Daddy are very proud of you!

    I also love that you like going out with your Mom still. I have a 14 year old (will be 15 in October) and I love that he is so affectionate and protective of me. Moms and their boys have a very unique relationship.

  44. these are some of my fave pics of your family…graham doesn't get talked about a lot but i knew just from looking at his pic that this is how he is. i LOVE the colors of his room and the fact that he put on a hat to cover the bedhead (i'm assuming here). this guy, i think, is the ROCK of your family. jubilee's little face is so precious- she looks happier and happier as the weeks go by…and elizabeth is an OLD SOUL if i ever saw one. blessings on the whole family, your posts just make my day!
