Monday, Emma, Autumn and I left for Phoenix. Autumn had another MRI and so the three of us scooted down for a whopping 24 hours (including sleeping!) deciding that we should turn this trip into a little fun. It was about a 9 hour drive each way. But we laughed, talked and just had so much fun together. I love spending time with my big girls making memories….
On the way we found a store with a Senior Discount…you just had to be 50+. The sign was screaming my name….how often do you get a senior discount while shopping for your toddlers?? Ha!!
Our old family friend, Stuart, {who lives in Phoenix} treated the girls and I to the Diamondbacks/Yankees game. It was a blast!! A friend of his even loaned the girls some real Yankee jerseys. Unbeknownst to Stuart, Emma had been longing to go to a professional sporting event….we had prayed that there might be a way….and then his offer came….so very sweet of the Lord to bless Miss Emmy like that. We will remember for the rest of our lives the fun we had that night!!
We’re home safe. We are off to spread some Crazy Love around our community….with our church….
Looks & sounds like a blast! 🙂
Looks like a great time! My mom and brother were at that game too!
Loved everything about this post except the Yankee jerseys….
I have two favorite teams the Mariners and anybody who is playing the Yankees….
Just saying….
I would gladly buy both the girls jerseys of another team of their choice to save them from the embarrassment of sporting those threads…..LOL
So glad you had a great time with just this one small blemish….*snicker*
really just a size and a team, and they are SO on the way….ROFL
God is good….so glad you had fun with your big girls….we're leaving tomorrow to spend time with Caleb, our Navy son, in CT! I am so excited.
You have such beautiful girls!!! I'm so glad that you got to spend some special quality time with them:O) I look forward to the day that I get to do that with my daughter.
Lots of love,
jenn
What a wonderful post! What a wonderful family!
So glad I stopped by today.
Blessings,
Mary
So *ahem*… Mr. Daddy sent me by again to assure you that HE WAS NOT KIDDING (not one single stinkin' bit) about getting the girls some appropriate baseball attire:)
Sizes, and they are on their way 🙂
And I just love how good God is – to know even our quiet desires and to give Emma that game!
What a nice reminder that the Lord surprises us with things! So glad for Emma!
I love the "senior" discount and shopping for toddlers at the same time. I'm in the same boat as you girl. Loving' life with my "senior" moments…my teen and twenty "girls" and my toddlers in tow. Isn't the Lord amazing!! Elaine
