If You’ve Been Wondering….

No, we didn’t forget her…..
No, we haven’t changed our minds
and
No, we didn’t “back off”…..

Because once a family is knit together by God….

No amount of time or distance is able to separate or change their love and commitment to each other.

Our hearts, no doubt, intertwined by God’s master plan…
So we continue to pray and long for the day….
{As His timing is always perfect}

That He fulfills His promise
{“He sets the lonely in families”}
to a little girl who has fasted and prayed for a family….

And when He moves –

we will be family forever.

  1. Thank you for the update–I've been wondering and praying! I am so encouraged by your faith and love for children. Our oldest daughter is from Colombia! 🙂

  2. I've been wondering what happened, it seemed to be going in your (her) favor and I was so excited. I sure hope God hurry along the process to get her home where she belongs! Thanks for sharing!

  3. You read my mind. As I clicked on your blog I asked myself when and if you would enlighten us to what happened. I pray His timing is fast because she belongs home!

  4. I was just going to close down my computer but felt needed to take another peek at blog to see if any news! So pleased I did. These pictures are SO BEAUTIFUL. Praying for SJ, Miss Ruby and you all as family. Thank you for sharing these pictures. Good night from England. XXX

  5. Thank you for the update. I thought you might have decided not to update because of the unkind comments made about her adoption several weeks ago.
It is a wonder to see God's activity in your lives!

  6. Praying for her that she will be with you soon. I thought of you this a.m. when our pastor was talking about when his wife, Emily, was growing up on the mission field in Philippines with her family, she would go to an orphanage and hold and rock babies. They needed the love. Many wouldn't cry any more because there was no reason to since nobody would come pick them up. So sad to hear. So glad you love on the babies in Uganda and thanks for doing that! Have a good week!

  7. Been wondering??? That's an understatement! I was so hoping to see that you brought both home with you. But it's not His time yet. Thanks for the update. I think she is absolutely precious and I can't wait to hear her story!

  8. So thankful you posted this. I have prayed and prayed for SJ to be home soon!!! I also pray that Ruby Grace begins to feel better very very soon. It is never easy to watch a little loved one hurting.

  9. Thank you for sharing! I had been wondering and hoping for words of your sweet SJ.

Figured you would share in your time. Praying for your family.
    Warmly,
    Lori

  10. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Linny for your update on SJ. Tears. In my constant prayers for Miss Ruby Grace, she has never been forgotten. I longed for news of her, but was too afraid to ask. If something had gone wrong, I would not have forgiven myself for opening another wound. You, Dw, and all of your precious treasures remain steadfastly in my prayers!

  11. Amen and Amen. I wait in hope for you Lord.
You are my help and my shield.
In you my heart rejoices, for I trust
in your holy name. Psalm 33:20-21

    Rejoicing and trusting with you

  12. Whoo~hoo!! "If you've been wondering…." How can we not!!
Your words brought joy to my heart and symphonies of music to my soul!
I'm praying up a storm for Ruby Grace~miracles upon miracles of healing, Oh Lord! AND for Sarah~ beautiful child of God with the smile of love on her face and the light of heaven in her eyes~ she will be in my prayers always that she knows her Abba Father holds her in His arms, walks with her every moment of every day, and loves her beyond measure. I pray also that her hope and faith in Jesus grows stronger every day, as our Lord continues to shine His love through Sarah, to the people in her life. God's timing is perfection! Praising Jehovah and lifting y'all up in prayer, dear Linny! Love and God bless~ Bethie

  13. I know I haven't had time to comment much, but let me just say that you you all have been in my prayers! I thank God for you every day and can't thank him enough for the love you have shown and still show to Ruby and Sarah. I was thinking the other day about when we were in Africa and I would watch Dwight with the kids. With both girls I thought, "God, why can't he be their father? Why can't these girls be in their family?" And now they ARE! He is so good. Anyways! I don't mean to ramble, just let you know I am thankful and praying for Ruby's health and for Sarah and for you all! Love you!

  14. Sweet update we have longed for–my kids have been praying and asking for Sarah Jane! Thank u!! Be strong and of good courage, rest in the shadow of His wing and know that he has done great things!

  15. I was going to write you and let you know that I am still praying her home even though I didn't know what was going on. She is heavy on my heart and you can count on me and my husband to keep praying until she is home! I'm so glad to know that door is still open.

  16. Thank you for posting this!!!! I knew you wouldn't give up or walk away…I hate that you can't update us because of a few fools whose hearts were bent on judging and hurting you….I am so sad about that. God will be with her and we will continue to pray for His grace and wisdom to cover this sitaution. Lots of love. xoxoxo

  17. I have continually thought of SJ each time you posted an update of Ruby Grace. Praying for your family as God continues to give you His love for the orphans…the ones that are now part of your family (and no longer orphaned!), and the ones to come, including SJ! 🙂 Love and prayers, Emily

  18. Continuing to pray with you for your sweet daughter God has still in Uganda.

(Linny, you've mentioned it can be difficult at times to get an internet connection in Ruby's room. You may want to look into a free download called 'Windows Live Writer.' I have used it for a year-and-a-half now and it allows me to write blog posts and add pics to the post and then whenever I get a connection the post can be uploaded in a seconds. It's a great program. Hopefully this is helpful. Catherine)

  19. Oh I just had no doubt in my heart!! But, I'm so glad for the update!!! When all the ugliness hit…there was a small group of us in our church that prayed and fasted. God is good and I believe He will move this mountain!

  20. I'm glad to see the post about Sarah Jane. Didn't know the particulars but hoping the adoption would go through. Must have been hard on y'all and her as you left Uganda. Praying God watches over her and gives her confidence of your return! She is precious and I loved the pictures. Reminds me a little of my younger sister. 🙂

  21. Oh my gracious, I am so thrilled with this update. I didn't think you would give up on her and have been itching to ask, but didn't feel it was appropriate to ask. Thanks so much for the update!

  22. Oh Praise God Linny… I have been wondering and praying… We will continue to pray for day when sweet Sara jane will come home… I was just telling my sister in law this morning about her, we laughed… I am named Sara…her Jane… Praying for you all and Ruby's healing!

    Sara
