Our Little Chin*se Princess

Some days it just feels too overwhelming to share
*all*
of our lives with the blog world,
not sure why,
but it just does.
So I hadn’t shared that our little Chin*se
Princess has been very sick.
For a couple of weeks now.
High fevers.
The ER.
Meds.
Even higher fevers.
Doctor visits.
More high fevers.
Seriously.
Long nights of feeling so sick that
she’s awake most of the night.
Another consult with the doctor
{whom we absolutely L*O*V*E*}.
Switching meds.
In the meantime, no one else has gotten sick.
Now, don’t get me wrong, we prayed no one would.
But, maybe I just didn’t believe He would really answer that
or maybe there’s another reason?
So this whole,
“No one else has even gotten a tad sick”
has left us a little unnerved.
In the meantime, today, she has perked up a bit and is playing
with a deck of cards beside me.
During one of the doctor visits he found something
that is needin’ some further investigation.
Not incredibly alarmed, but definitely sending us for
a test, which should be scheduled today for soon.
Jubilee’s extremely rare chromosomal partial deletion
{similar to Downs but not even named – it is that rare}
has the doctor wondering what this “find”
could possibly mean,
especially in light of the chromosomal issue.
He said he just doesn’t want to “miss something”.
The reason I am sharing all this is because
I know that so many of you adore
our Jubilee Promise.
{What’s not to adore?  She’s a rare jewel
and totally a love bug.}
We would love for prayers for wisdom for the doctors
and for her complete healing.
In the time it took me to type this,
Jubilee is now sound asleep behind me on the couch.
{And yes, I often type while sitting on the floor,
where Ruby is rolling around touching my legs.}
Thank you for loving our girl.

  1. She is so pretty. I am sorry she is sick. Looks like her sweet big sister, Liberty, has been painting her nails. It is funny that we pray nobody else gets sick and then when nobody else does, our mom brain goes into panic mode. Prayers for Jubliee!

  2. Praying!! Didn't she have an infection in or by her ear in the bones a while back? I wonder if its another infection like that is hidng.
    Love you guys and are praying for complete healing.

  3. Praying that the tests will give the doctors the information they need and that the Great Physician will bring healing to sweet Jubilee! Praying for all of you as you journey through this. Love you!

  4. That picture is pure sweetness! She is so beautiful. I will certainly be praying for Jubilee and her family. Wish I could bring you a homemade meal and some dessert…instead…cyber hugs to you!

  5. Prayers offered – the "unexplained high fever" thing is one that stresses me the most! Let us know how the test turns out – hope it's not too "invasive" – I hate those too!

    hugs – aus and co.

  6. Jubilee looks so peaceful right in that photo. Glad she's feeling a bit better and hopefully it continues that way. As a mom, it's hard not to be concerned about this sickness that's gone on for awhile. Praying the dr. can find something that will help her continue to feel better til she's well. Hugs and no worries if you don't tell all cuz you really don't have to! Hugs!
