What a joy this past week has been and oh the thud that happens in
my soul when everyone is gone.
Ugh.
Long anticipated days which take forevvvvvver
to get here and then
poof{!}
it’s over!
Anne Shirley {of Anne of Green Gables} describes how
I feel each time one of our grown treasures come home:
I can’t help flying up on the wings of anticipation.
It’s as glorious as soaring through a sunset…
almost pays for the thud.
Such a thud, but such a tremendous blessing when children grow up
and become our friends.
One night we sat around and laughed and laughed till our sides hurt.
Other more serious moments.
Swimming in the pool.
Easter.
Skyping our favorite missionary.
Camping in a real tent in the loft.
One teething little one.
Wee early mornings so a tired young mommy can sleep.
Grilling.
A snuggly newborn.
A leisurely walk in the neighborhood.
Sabrina {the version}.
Walkie-talkies for all.
More swimming.
Camping in a teepee in the loft.
Frozen yogurt {which Ruby loved}.
Great grandma and grandpa visiting.
Sunshine and warmth.
One big pregnant belly.
Tree-climbing.
Legos.
A true family mystery {which remains a mystery at this moment}.
Wheelchair racing in the house.
No school.
Not much sleep either.
But oh the memories that were made.
And Mimi’s heart is oh-so-grateful, even amidst the thud.
The photos brought smiles, esp the final one!
It was so much fun!!
Oh Linny! What a beautiful family you have!
We are so blessed with our sweet pile of treasures! Blessed far beyond what I deserve, no doubt!
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!! 🙂
Beautiful Linny….So happy for you!
So happy for you my friend. There is nothing better than family! Cannot wait until I am well enough to travel and spend some time with my lovies!
Blessings,
Suzanne
