We have long held breakfast at Letchworth State Park as a tradition we can’t live without if we happen to the ol’ Homestead.  And crazy as it might be, rumor around town is that Letchworth was chosen as #1 State Park by USA Today.  If you heard something else, that’s okay, you couldn’t convince us otherwise.  We think it’s #1 too!!  No doubt, it is a gorgeous place.

Today was spent cooking breakfast over the fire in the park…at the same place we started having it at 39 years ago {although we’ve missed some years}!!  We missed some years  in the last 39, but miraculously the table was open even though the park had lots of people.

So many sweet memories over the years…and this was an extra special day because it was not only Nehemiah’s first time at Letchworth, but it is also Nehemiah’s birthday!!

This guy turned 12 today!!  We are so very thankful that he’s ours.  He is an amazing gift to our family and we can not ever thank the Lord enough for this privilege!!

And what a beautiful day of celebrating we’ve had!!  Doing life together.  Incredibly blessed over and over and over and over.

Dinner tonight around the table, cake, ice cream and molasses cookies.  Uncle Mark was able to come to town to join us…We have reminisced about some great memories and I’m guessing that my Dad and mom-in-love would be so tickled to see us all together loving each other and thanking the Lord for this old homestead and the wonderful memories it holds!!
