To All of My Friends…

To each of my friends who already are moms or are longing-to-be-a-mom or wondering if you ever will be able to be a mom…

I celebrate you!!  Each of you uniquely created…

The girl who dreams of and longs to be a mom someday. You will be!!  Promise!

The single woman who became a mom when she didn’t plan. It’s all right. His plans for you and your baby are good and the “accident” is not an accident to God.

The foster mom who nurtures and protects and cares for little ones day in and day, but just for a season and with heart-exposed,  you’ve given them back…You’re a hero.

Those who have birthed a baby…what joy!! You’ve had such a privilege.

Those who struggle with infertility…I remember my years of infertility well…and your pain is real…But hold on to the hope..His plans are still good.

Those who birthed a baby but chose a different life plan for their baby which included adoption…You are so brave.

The single mom who does it alone every single day…You are amazing.

Those who have lost a baby or child this year.  Oh the heartache.  I pray God sustains, comforts and surrounds you…He is faithful, even when your heart is broken.

The widow with treasures left to raise….I’m so sorry…You have God’s grace on your life – You can do it.

The woman whose husband has walked out and you’re raising your treasures alone….Such betrayal and heartache…Yet, God’s plan for you still goes on – it may look different than you thought, but He is faithful and He will give you the strength you need.  His plan always supersedes any plan of man.

The woman who invests in kids around her although she has no kids in her home….Thank you so much.

The woman who cares for her medically fragile treasures, literally, day in and day out with out a break…No one may understand what you do. But you are not alone.  I’m in your boat with you…and although some days the boat may be tossed about, we cling to the anchor of our Hope – Jesus Christ – who gives strength, wisdom, joy, grace and rest.

The woman who invested her life in her kids but they’ve grown, moved away and seem to have forgotten her.  May your prayers be answered…

The woman who struggles with her child in prison…Oh friend.  May God comfort you, as only He can and may He be your refuge and strength.

The woman who has a child with mental illness…Your heartache is unimaginable for most.  May God surround you with friends who hold your arms up as you navigate life.

The woman who has a child who has gone sideways and you don’t even know where that child is.  May God’s peace comfort you and assure you that they will return.   They will.  His promises are faithful and true.

This was taken in New Orleans after Katrina at Camp Hope.

The woman who lost her mom this year….May God use your sweet memories to comfort…

The adoptive mom…such joy…I celebrate your journey!

The mom whose child or the wife whose husband is deployed and won’t be able have a call for Mother’s Day…May God’s shield of protection surround your loved one and may His peace flood your heart.

Each one of you were created by God for a beautiful purpose.  Your investment in your children or the children around you is an enormous contribution to our world.

For those who have had or are currently struggling with enormous challenges…even in the worst of times, not one situation is a surprise to God.  He is an ever present help in time of need and He promises that He is more than enough.

I don’t take being a mom lightly.  It is my greatest joy.  It’s hard though.  Some seasons are so very hard.  Yet the rewards and joy are out of this world.  I pray at whatever season you are in, you sense God’s overwhelming love for you…and that you remember that your friend Linny is cheering you on…

Happy Mother’s Day from our home today!!
