Oh friends. I need you guys so I am coming humbly asking for your help.
There is a beautiful little baby girl in Uganda who is very, very, very sick. She has a bleed in the brain and the missionary doctors who performed our Ruby’s first surgery have said her bleed is inoperable. Which means, she needs a miracle! Thankfully, our astoundingly faithful God is in the miracle business. He loves to take “impossible” and turn it into “only God could have done this” stories.
Emma and Josh named her Esther Mirembe when she arrived at The Gem Foundation a couple of months ago. Esther Mirembe means “Star of Peace”. Interestingly enough, in the Old Testament, the entire book of Esther is devoted to the true story of a once-orphaned girl named Esther who was adopted by her uncle and rose to a place of authority as the Queen of Persia. It was then that God used Queen Esther to call the entire nation of Israel to fast to save her people, the Hebrews, from impending death.
So I am pleading, on baby Esther’s behalf, with you asking if you would pray and fast for her healing? Would you also consider sharing about little Esther and asking family, friends, Sunday School groups, Bible studies, prayer groups to pray (and even fast, if possible) for Esther’s complete healing? The doctors believe that there is nothing wrong with Esther except the bleed in the brain.
Maybe you have children at home and would be willing to gather them and share about Esther and then do a family fast – even just one meal? There is nothing like stirring little hearts for the orphan like fasting for a little baby girl who desperately needs healing.
We are officially calling Monday, August 7th, 2017 a day of Prayer and Fasting for Esther. But if Monday doesn’t work for you, please consider today, Sunday, Tuesday or any part of the days.
Friends, the need is urgent friends, so very urgent!
Please pray, with us, (and fast with us if possible) that our orphan-loving God would miraculously touch and stop the bleeding in the brain and do what the doctors have declared impossible!!
Please, please, please be part of Esther’s miracle.
Lastly, I’m tagging some of you, my friends…knowing that you are defenders, advocates and lovers of the orphan. Please, I plead with you…will you consider gathering friends, family, Bible studies and prayer chains to fast (if possible) and pray for Esther’s healing? Absolutely nothing is too difficult for our astoundingly faithful God! If you are a pastor, please consider praying for Esther this Sunday morning in your service. Oh how God loves the orphan!
“For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14
“Those who hope in me will not be disappointed.” Isaiah 49:23
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think…” Ephesians 3:20
“He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
