Do You Live Near?

As Dw and I were praying over the winter about our trip across the country to the old home place we felt that the Lord would have us change things up a bit this summer….and we contacted those who have invested in The Gem to see if they would be willing to host a “Gem Party”.   The idea would be to invite their friends to meet us and hear all about The Gem.  The financial burden of caring for 44 special needs Gems is enormous and we felt this would be a new way to share the need.

So friends of The Gem welcomed us into their homes (or somewhere else they were able) in Abilene, Tulsa, two meetings in Iowa and then on to northern Indiana.  It was incredible to meet so many precious people and to hug the necks of people who love the Gems!

Now we are planning our return trip and our hostest-with-the-mostest, Debbie, wanted to open up her Gem Party in case other bloggy friends wanted to come – as the old saying goes, “The more the merrier!”   We have a special spot in our hearts for the people of  Indiana (and surrounding states) and have been there several times to share about Rescuing Ruby, The Memorial Box and the Gem Foundation…some have even traveled from Kentucky and Illinois!  So if you are anywhere nearby and would like to come, we would love you to come join us!

  1. Hi Linny!

Is this the closest place you’ll be near Louisville Kentucky? Just checking it’s not a bad drive at all.
