There are some VERY exciting things happening in Uganda – one of which I burst into tears crying with hysterical joy when I heard….. but I can’t tell you yet…….any guesses?
The team has planted 359 trees of the 1500 so far. They will serve as a protective/privacy barrier around the African Hearts little boys home in Ssenge Village. That’s alot of trees!!
They also began and laid the cornerstone and started the foundation for the kitchen/guest room/store room for African Hearts Ssenge Village little boys home. I snapped the picture below of the kitchen when I was there in December.
You know I was thinkin’ when I saw that kitchen back in December….Lord may I never, ever, ever complain about my kitchen again, no matter where I live (and we’ve some real deal fix-me-uppers in our almost 31 years of marriage….the kind where when we pulled the flooring off there were big, big, big ol’ worms crawling around on top of the sub-floor. No joke. But compared to this kitchen it was still absolutely stinkin’ awesome!)
They finished off the day by heading to Sanyu to help care for the babies. (The favorite part of the day, my guess.) Dw said the team is exhausted but they are stoked!! Tomorrow Dw will be speaking at a church in the morning and at a crusade in the evening. Your prayers would be appreciated for him and also for those who would hear the messages and for the continued safety of the entire team.
Lynn, didn’t your oldest daughter and SIL go on the trip? I think I read that at one time. If so, my guess is that you are going to be a grandma.
I love “going” on the mission trips with your family. Thank you so much for sharing them.
My guess can be summed up in one work: grandbaby!
Praying for the team and those left behind. My guess – Justin has a baby!
One more baby is coming home!
Someone going to come home with one of the babies??? I grew up as a missionary kid in the DRG (then Zaire), Africa, so all things African are SO near to my heart. I’m loving hearing about this trip! Praying for all of them, and you and the kids while you’re home without your hubby…

If I know you, I’ll bet someone wants to adopt and are working on it? Am I close?
Is someone bringing home a new little one??!!!
All I have to say is WOW…..I have gone back and read some of your blog….and you are inspiring!!!! Love your faithfulness, your enthusiasm, and your funny laughs that are always helpful. How encouraging!!!!
:)!
You are such a tease!!!!!! I am praying for the team and for you at home!!!!
Hugs
Kathie
Oh yeah!! My guess is that Isaiah and Elizabeth will be having some orphange playmates here in the USA!!!!
My guess on the big surprise is that your daughter Abigail and her husband found a little one that they want to adopt, and your going to be a first time Grandma? smiles, giggles. Oh what fun! My second guess and greatest wish would be that DW is bringing home the little guy that wanted to come home with you on your last trip? DO TELL!
A beautiful grandbaby maybe???
Even better a grandbaby and another Saunders baby.
How’s Martha is she still there?
OK, I can’t stand it will you tell us what we need to be excited about.
Don’t leave us hanging like that! Some of us won’t be able to sleep. 🙂
Dwight fill love with some more babies that you are bring home. Or some of the team is getting to bring some babies home.
What’s their name and what size of clothing should we be looking for?
What’s their name and what size of clothing should we be looking for?
I just prayed for all that you asked for, I pray tha God puts a hedge of protection around the entire team and that the message is heard and taken to heart by everyone who hears it.
Love and blessings, Kristy
I agree…unless we have a kitchen like that one…ummm, absolutely no reason to complain. NONE.
I remembered that May 29 was such a miraculous day for you…when we were in China you sent me an email telling me that! 😉 I never forgot it and even thought about it as I was remembering our special day on the 29th! God is awesome!
Miss you! I hope every thing is going well while Dw is away. I’m praying for COMPLETE protection over you!!
Is Martha getting a forever Home? Is DW bringing 10 more babies home with him? don’t keep us hanging! I know whatever it is will be Godtastic!

My guess is your “Son” will have a new home. I’ll stop short of saying where I think it might be!! :)??????

Now Linny, that’s not fair leaving us all in suspense. I’m thinking someone is probably bringing someone home…Wonder who that could be. Continued prayers for all of them and for you. Hugs.
Are you bringing home another sweet child??
Did your husband choose another baby (or two) for you??

My friend and her family are over in Uganda right now! I miss her badly- My kids and her children have been together and they miss them-I will pray for this group as they travel and do the Lords work! What a blessing!
Please say your little African “son” found a forever Mommy?!
You are all close in my prayers.
Oh Linny, I am just catching up after being MIA from blog world for the last few days. Wow–I love the house you have chosen to build. Having lived in VA, I just love the style of the farmhouses and colonial houses there. I can hardly wait to see how things work out.
So happy to hear that Dw and the team arrived safely and are being such a blessing to the people of Uganda. Please update us on how the crusade went when you get word, I would love to hear about it 🙂
Mmmm—my guess (and probably every one else’s too–Dw has fallen in love with another African beauty to bring home 🙂 ) OR–you have travel approval for sweet Jubilee.
Love and biggest hugs.
Did little Martha’s new parents go with Dwight and the crew? Hope she gets home soon!
All the best,
Nicole A. in OH
I’m guessing there’s an adoption just around the corner–either for you or a beloved friend–either way it will be super exciting!!
I can’t stand the wait so I hope you spill the beans soon!!!!!
