Silverton, Colorado

Last week we went to Silverton, Colorado. It was one of Dw’s first outings – we LOVE Silverton and love the drive and love the views. On the way up there I pulled over the car. Dw said, “What are you doing?” I said, “I have to get a shot of this drive to show all my bloggy friends, especially for the ones who don’t live in the mountains!” Is it gorgeous, or what?We always stop at Molas Pass to enjoy the scenery.

Once at Silverton we were trying to figure out where to eat. By the time we got to Silverton Elijah was not a very happy camper….. (snacks on the drive, doesn’t matter, when it’s time to eat he’s starving)

Thought with how happy Elijah was that it would be appropriate to eat here…Isaiah’s legs were bothering him so much since surgery that he always wanted them elevated to help alleviate the pain….but he smiles regardless…Oh yeah, he’s happy…..And playing in ketchup….the only way it gets better than that …Just this way…..

  1. HI Linny! What a sweet family you have! We live in Denver and I felt the same way about Silverton, Colorado! We took our kids on a Colorado tour when we moved here from Seattle 18 (gasp!) years ago. I'm glad I found your blog!

  2. These pictures were great! Brought back some memories from our honeymoon there….it was January and snowing and I learned to REALLY trust my husband as he was driving those curvy, on the side of the mountain roads! 🙂

  3. Spectacular views! Lord willing, I hope to either live in the mountains (or in close proximity to them) one day. They're so majestic…such a beauty in God's creation.

You've done an awesome job at capturing memorable moments with your family that will certainly be cherished as your children grow throughout the years. Life and family are such wonderful blessings.

    Love to you all!
    Tina

  7. The scenery is beautiful, but God's real beauty is wrapped in the smiles of your family.

You continue to inspire and challenge me as I learn to walk in His calling on my life, as wife and mommy.

    Hugs from Costa Rica,
    Sarah Dawn

  8. What absolutely gorgeous pics. Goodness, we live right here in Co, and I have seen so little of the state. So bad.
I absolutely adore Isaiah–Linny, I don't think I have ever seen that boy without a smile on his little face. He is amazing.

    BIG DAY tomorrow, friend. PRAYING!!!

  9. Your pictures are beautiful and brought back many memories of camping at Molas Lake. We have been thinking about heading that way for my 30th birthday, but not sure if the 8 hour drive each way is worth going just for a weekend! I am tempted now more than ever!
