Today I had the sweetest, long-awaited surprise! I had picked Jubilee up and was hugging her and she grasped my face in her hands and said, “I love you mom” and kissed me.
She has said, “I love you” when I have said it first, but never has she initiated it. I have waited just about a year to hear those words on her own and finally{!}. I am teary as I type. They were a long, long, long time coming. Ahhhh, let me assure you – it was music to my ears.
Also, Emma had promised her little siblings that she would take them to a movie. She had them all shower, did their hair all fancy-schmancy…and put party clothes on each of them and took them to the movies….and let me tell you, they are soooo excited!!
Tomorrow I thought we could do a Thankful link up….link your Thanksgiving posts and we can celebrate together all the things we are thankful for…and by the way, if you put a picture of your home, or your front door, or your Thanksgiving table, or preparing your special meal…that would be extra, extra special!!
Emma is beyond sweet! What an amazing big sister. And amazing little siblings too = )
Rejoicing with you – that your little girl who doesn't hear so good – can speak those words to her Mama's heart. I love it!
And what a treasure you have in Emmy! I love how excited all the kids look!
How wonderful that heard the words you have waited for! We loved meeting Jubilee a couple weeks ago- she is delightful!
Hope they all had fun at the movie! They look adorable!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Having your precious daugher Jubilee say those 4 words into your face, oh Linny that is so wonderful! I'm in happy tears.
Emma is such a sweet big sis. The kids look so gorgeous all dressed up, and so proud. I do hope they had a wonderful time. Warms my heart.

How sweet is that sweet Jubilee!!!! You certainly do have a handsome group of children. You are truly blessed. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
The best Thanksgiving gift- Love It!!! awwww…remember when each of mine have said I love you for the first time on their own- THE BEST!!
Isn't it the best having big kids AND little kiddos too? I was just wondering about Jubilee too…wondering how she was communicating and thinking how last year around this time we were thinking the Lord was sending us to Jubilee's province for a sweet little one diagnosed with CP who is now with Jesus. What a year it has been! Always, ALWAYS God is faithful. May your thanksgiving be filled with giggles and memories and good health and laughing until your tummy muscles are sore!
love,
Holly
