Her Dream Is Coming True

All Autumn ever wanted, from the time she was bite-sized was to be married and have babies.  I remember living in Virginia Beach {while Dw was in seminary} and she had just turned two years old and would ask me daily if we could go to the mall to look at the pregnant ladies.  Daily.  Not.kidding.  And since the mall was nearby, we would often go and walk the mall in search of big bellies.  She was fascinated by them.

Yes, indeed, getting married and having babies was her dream.  And when Autumn’s dream was almost snuffed out last July 17th, it was you bloggy friends, who rallied to pray.  Rallied to intercede.  Rallied to fast for Karl.

As the BIG WEDDING approaches, you will hear me thank you guys over and over for all you did to stand with us for Karl’s healing.   When he was in the coma, seriously friends, your support was incredible.  We can not ever thank you enough.

Anyway, as the miracle event of our personal world approaches, I just knew you would love to see the beaming bride…the girl who is finally realizing her lifelong dream….

 Her bridal shower was while we were in Colorado last week.  Autumny was so tickled to have five of her sisters there and her mommy {as she calls me, how sweet is that?}.  Emmy is her maid-of-honor….and the evening was such a wonderful blessing, hosted by Vicki’s Bible study ladies….

Autumn is a hot-pink-zebra-lovin’ chica…
always has been.

Autumn and one of her closest friends, Katie, from her high school days….

 Savannah, Emma and Destini {Emmy’s bestest friend ever}

Ruby’s first bridal shower – she loved it!

Elizabeth rockin’ the braids for the wedding she was in two days later…
{have no idea how I missed getting a picture of Jubilee, but boy was I bummed}

 Autumn, Vicki and I
{The bow bouquet made into a bonnet is a tradition at Polish weddings and yes,
I’m part Polish and boy-oh-boy do I ever love to Polka –
anyone else out there love to Polka?}….

one glowing bride

  2. Polish girl here! My mom used to call it "Polish by osmosis" – we are Polish because my mama was adopted into a wonderful Polish family! 🙂 I sure love me some Polish food, polka, and even have a few Polish sayings my grandpa used to yell out! 🙂

  3. Congratulations Beautiful Autumn! Congratulations and every blessing to all of you, your whole beautiful family! Praising God right along with you for your wonderul miracle! Part polish here too, but no polkas lol! xoxoxoxoxo Love to all of you from Canada

  4. Every lady looked beautiful in the pics, but I have to say, Elizabeth looks so gorgeous in her braids! I was taken aback at her beauty!! I am so happy for Autumn and you all!!

  5. How fun and so happy for Autumn. Praying that all things go well for the wedding and everything leading up to the wedding. Tradition around here is that the bows are made into a bouquet and it's carried at the wedding rehearsal. I like the bonnet idea as well! Lovein' all the photos! Hugs!

  6. Autumn, you are stunning. Your smile speaks volumes and it brings tears to my eyes to see such joy after the storm. What a special day to share with the ladies in your family. So, so happy for you! (P.S. Linny, you are stunning, too, and I love that grey crown of splendor!)

  7. Yippee…one step closer to Autumn's fulfilled dreams and I rejoice with all of you!!!

    I'm a pink girl too…

    I'm also lovin' Elizabeth's hair. She looks so much older!!!

  8. Simply BEAUTIFUL Linny!!! God is ever so faithful and I'm tickled that Autumn is glowing so beautifully!! Such an incredible blessing to witness I'm sure!!!

  9. This is so exciting! God is so amazing. I am so glad she is getting the desire of her heart. I look forward to seeing the pictures in August!

  10. Autumn looks so beautiful and full of joy! We're looking forward to celebrating with you all in August, and loved seeing you last Sunday. Hope your drive home went smoothly and that you've all thawed out! 🙂

    Yes, I too love to polka — I hail from a Hungarian/German/American family — my dad, his brothers, a few cousins and my big sisters all had bands which of course, included accordions and polka music. I'm really rusty but if they play a polka at the wedding reception and you give me a refresher, it probably wouldn't take much to get me out on the dance floor!

  11. Yay!! She is beautiful (as are all of your treasures!!)

    As a side note, we registered for the same SANGO dishes as Autumn got except ours are blue. She will love them (at least we do!)
