MomOfManyHarmony.com

The other day Dw and I got a Facebook message.
It was from our Tyler’s best friend when he was growing up.
{His mom is one of my dearest friends too.}
As it turns out he was going to be in Phoenix on business and said,
“I know you guys have just moved, I would never want to impose,
but I would love to get together and see you all.”
Of course, there was no way-no how we would let this precious-to-all-our-hearts
young man stay anywhere but with us.  We wrote back,
“If you are okay with the chaos,  boxes, and sleeping on the couch
we absolutely insist you stay with us.”
He left me a voice mail, “Your long lost son would love to stay with you guys.”
We were all giddy for him to arrive.
This young man is such a treasure.
Anyway, so as we were sitting around talking he said,
“You don’t happen to know any young woman who are single, do you?”
Through giggles I responded,
“Do I happen to know any young woman who are single?”
I mean, let me think for a second.
Here I am staring at a much-loved {by us and anyone who knows him}
young man.
He’s done mission trips around the world.
He loves the orphan.
An intercessor.
Dashingly Handsome.
Killer smile.
Humble.
Tender hearted.
Laughs easily.
An engineer.
My wheels began to turn.
The giggling continued.
Emma, Savannah and Liberty giggled with me as I thought out loud:
“Could you imagine if I showed my bloggy friends his picture
and did a post about him?
 I mean, think about all the orphan-loving, God-fearing, tender-hearted
young woman {or moms of young women} who stop by our Place Called Simplicity.
Could you imagine if we played a little
MomOfManyHarmony?”
And oh yeah, he already knows he’s going to adopt one day.
And if all that were not enough, he’s been just kind of doing mission trips,
interceding for others and waiting for “her” without dating a bunch of girls
 he knew weren’t ‘the one’.
Answering his question, I responded,
“Naaaah.  I’m sure I don’t know anyone who would be interested.”
{followed by uproarious giggles}
I mean, think about it with me:
Do you really think that any of my orphan lovin’ friends would want to
meet a handsome, orphan-lovin’ single guy who comes with the highest
of recommendations from me?
Naaah, I didn’t think so.
Ummm, besides, do you really think any sweet bloggy friends would be willing
to send a picture and short bio to
APlaceCalledSimplicity@yahoo.com?
Yeah, I doubt it.
I mean, seriously.
Guys like him are a dime a dozen.
{haha}

And just so no one stalks him from my friends on Facebook for real,
we’ll just call him by his middle name,
which happens to be
Benjamin.
So like I was sayin’, too bad no one out in bloggy land would ever be interested.
Cryin’ shame.

    Love you!!
    Jean

  2. It is also a crying shame I am not 20 years younger ;-). Many blessings to the young man and the precious young lady I am sure God has already selected. What fun, keep us posted.

And if you happen to know any mature 40++ single God loving, orphan loving men, well, you know what to do.

  3. Hahahaha Libby, you are awesome!!! And hilarious!!!! He must just be lovin' you right now!!! Tell him that your dear sweet bloggy friend has a daughter who loves orphans, is returning to Uganda and hopes to adopt someday!!!! My dear sweet daughter will just be ready to kill me about now!!! Love you Libby, you're my kinda' girl!!

  4. Uhm, what did you say your email address is? I'll be sure to send you a little bio….. lol JK! I have to say I do appreciate a guy who doesn't just date around while waiting for 'the one', one of the most admirable characteristics a guy can have! Sure you don't want to save him for one of your lovely daughters?! 😉

  5. Pick me pick me!

Haha, what an amazing sound man. And I love that he's already been on missions trips and wants to adopt. I've always said that I wanted a few of my own and want to adopt as well.

I am single! Just sayin! And I need/want a good Christian man who will respect me and be an example for my son who's father lacks all common sense.

    Pick me pick me!

  6. Well this single girl up in North Idaho would marry him tomorrow if that was God's plan 🙂
I also plan to adopt! I have only been on one mission trip with Youth With A Mission to Taiwan, but I'm open to anywhere the Lord leads me!

  7. Ok…I'm just sayin'. I join you in this spirit of helping "loved ones" find "love". We just married off one of our "loved ones" who fell in love and it was as much fun for us walking along side of this beautiful couple as it was for them…well, close enough. hehe. Soooo….I have a sweet gal that I love and she loves Jesus so much and she loves kids and has always had it on her heart to adopt and do more missions. She is waiting to take her next step of faith, just waiting on the Lord….The only question I have is how old is this young man…my sweet friend is 31 years old. She has never been married, but she is a real catch. 🙂 She is beautiful on the inside and out!

  8. ok, Linny, this is just too sweet and funny!! What a treasure indeed! The Lord has the perfect one in mind for him and His timing is perfect! I pray for him and all that God will do in his life. (my sweet daughter is just 15, so we might have to pass this time! LOL)

you crack me up but I can't wait to see what God does here!
    Robin

  9. I have a daughter who would croak to know her mom posted to this but she is single, finishing her master in world arts with a mission organization- been all over the world literally with missions, plans to adopt, has adopted siblings, and has wondered if there are any singe men who share those passions- so even if he isn't interested in her- I know she will be encouraged to know there some men out there like that! Thenelson15@gmail.com

  10. Just out of curiosity, how old is he? He's prbly to old for me ): I'm only 18

But i adore the fact that he knows he wants to adopt, cause i to have also had the calling, and i know that i will adopt one day when i'm old enough

  11. You also need to enter him @ Kelly's Korner blog. She does a singles meet up and has had several matches! He is handsome. It does my heart good to see a young man who wishes to find a Godly woman. So often it seems that young women are the ones worried about finding someone who knows and loves the Lord. I hope he finds the right one very soon. I'd love for my daughters to meet someone like him, but they are only 11 and 3!

  12. Praying Benjamin finds the perfect "one"! He sounds and looks {wink} like a wonderful man, and with the stamp of approval from your family, a girl can't go wrong. =)

  13. He looks like a Chad to me? 🙂 haha

hope the Lord will find him his perfect match and that he may know it for sure by His peace in his heart 🙂

  14. LOL! That is too funny! Our daughter would be a perfect match, but she would be mortified to do something like this! I guess she'll just have to let the opportunity pass to someone else…but too bad no one would be interested. ; )
