“Mom Said.”

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts
for all the prayers for our sweet Jubilee.
There has been a significant change.
{I should have asked you all for prayer weeks ago.}
This morning our Chin*se princess was sitting at the counter
and I had given some instructions to one of her younger
siblings.  Jubilee has always been my lil’
shadow and also my echo.
At any given time, when I tell someone to do
something, she keeps her eye on the situation.
If the little sib doesn’t move as quick as Jubilee deems necessary
she has been known to repeat what I said
{to the best of her ability}
and finish it with
“Mom Said.”
It always makes me giggle.
I guess we could call her
“The Enforcer”.
So this morning, while Jubilee was at the counter,
she finished her sentence with
“Mom Said”.
The two best words I’ve heard in weeks.

I burst out laughing and said,
“Jubilee, you’re back!
You’re being bossy.”
I grabbed my camera and tried to
snap her picture, but she got all embarassed
and said,
“No bossy.”
I kept laughing.
She was laughing as well.

A little while later Jubilee sat singing beside
Ruby, as Ruby was eating her lunch…
and hard to tell from the picture,
but Ruby was singing back…
Those two treasures of ours
sure form a spectacular duet together.

Although she is better, there are still some concerns.
Jubilee’s test is scheduled for mid-September.

  1. Oh good, I have been praying. I started following your blog recently through your comment on another adopter's blog.

I think of you and your family a lot and when I do, I pray. You are an encouragement – although I do know it is probably difficult to know how to respond to that when people say it. For ourselves, we just keep getting on with what God gave us to do.

But anyway, already your courage has given me courage to speak recognise and actually use some of the opportunities/connections God has brought my way through the textile art I do.
    Thanks,
    Sandy in the UK

  2. He was wounded for Jubilee's transgressions, He was bruised for Jubiless's iniquities, the chastisement for Jubilees peace was upon Him and by His stripes Jubilee IS HEALED!!!!!! No matter what is spoken over her from the doctor, the bible, Jesus blood speaks louder and is the ultimate truth, Jubilee is Healed in the Name of Jesus!!!!!

  3. Those pictures are priceless. I am so in love with your heart. You are one of my favorite people in the world and we've never even met. I am so grateful to get to peek into your lives and be constantly reassured that there are people who are willing to love like Jesus. I realize that I only know what you are willing to share and that there must be days when you are overwhelmed with the responsibility of taking care of so many children with special needs. Please know that I–and countless others–remember you in prayer daily.
