The Speed Limit

Yup.
It’s true.
I admit it.
Yesterday was my birthday.
Which I realize means that a few
curious bloggy friends kinda’ might wonder…
Exactly how old is that silver-haired
mom of many
anyway?
*sigh*
Well in an effort to put that little
bit of wonderment to rest…
I publicly admit that, yes,
yesterday was indeed
my birthday and ummmm….
I turned:
{drum roll please}
The Speed Limit.

Ha!

Actually, did you realize
once upon a time there were only
two speed limits?
The one around town

and
the one on the highway.
But now there are so stinkin’
 many speed limits…

15

25

30

35

40

45

55

60

65

75
Which probably means that some are
now kind of wondering…
“So ummm…you turned the
The Speed Limit?
BUT
*Which* speed limit are we
 talking about Linny?”
Fair question.

And all I gotta’ say is

{with all these little ones I have}

from here on out:

“Let’s think School Zone”.

  1. Happy Birthday, friend. I do know which speed limit you mean because I am only a few days behind you turning that limit! But I, like you, much prefer the school zone speed limit!

    love, janet and gang

  2. Happy birthday dear friend! But I just realized you're younger than I am, not the same age (as I thought) because I'm about to exceed the speed limit. No fair….

  3. It's a good thing you're talking about the speed limit in the USA. In Canada our main highway has a limit of 110!….kilometres! lol! I like the school zone mentality!

  4. Every day I'm thankful for your birth. You're a gracious gift from God to me and many others. Your encouragement and direction have been instrumental. I praise Him for your salvation and His Holy Spirit for constantly working in and through you to create such a beautiful picture of His goodness and grace, and His adoption of us and love towards us as our Father. Praise You, God, for countless miracles! You work wonders unlike any other. There is none like You! Thanks for your faithfulness, Linny, foremost to the Lord, secondly to your husband, third to your children and, next, to countless others who are blessed by you. You've done a lot in your 20 years! 🙂

  5. Happy birthday. The school zone in Canada (at least in BC) is so low when converting kilometers to miles, you may just get carded at the grocery store or asked if you have recently graduated from high school. Thanks for this post. The next time I'm tempted to complain at the painfully slow speed that is school zones in BC, I will instead think of you and smile.
