It is mind-boggling to this mama to think back to the first time I ever heard Emma pray in her tender little voice a prayer that went something like this:

“God please let me be the one who gets to take care of the orphans in Uganda…”

I opened my eyes for a peek at our petite little six and a half year old, eyes squeezed shut as she prayed that for the first time.  I chuckled to myself thinking, “Like I’m sure there’s a long line of applicants and God’s going to have to decide who gets to!  Yup, I’m actually pretty sure you already have the position!”

Night after night she would pray the same prayer.

Never wavering.

Never getting tiring of the thought.

Never bored and moving along…

Not even when life circumstances could have easily swayed the plan…

And now today, a glimpse into the fruition of that prayer prayed night after night after night after night….

We are actually throwing a little party over here tonight, cause the meeting today?

Yeah, that was huge!!
