Oh my. Virginia has got to have some of the sweetest folks in the world. I confess we might be a bit biased since we did pastor there for a total of about 10 years. But still….it was a beautiful thing to see old friends, many we hadn’t seen in 11 years…and to laugh, talk and reminisce about some really special times….
One of Dw’s faithful friends when we pastored in Virginia.
I was talking with old friends and new friends and in the midst of it all a Lurker appeared. Eeeek!! I love Lurkers and I love, love, love harassing them!! She confessed she’d been lurking since before the fire but had never spoke up [oh me, what the heck?]. I’m only guessin’ here, but I suspect she was pleasantly surprised to find that I don’t bite [I never do on Thursdays] and no looney peep grabbed her as she came out of the shadows!!
Seriously we had quite a few giggles over her new found freedom introducing herself and indeed she was very sweet – as all lovely lurkers are. Her kindhearted husband came as well and a brave jubilee-loving blog friend with her!! It was wonderful to hug them all!!

I regret I didn’t get a ton more pictures…because it was so wonderful to see so many old friends…
And for those in the Atlanta area…here’s the skinny on the next few days…

Meet Ruby
Linny, thank you and Dwight and all your family for sharing God’s amazing love for the orphan and for your sweet Ruby.
It was a delight to meet you and your beautiful family after all these years, and “Lovely Lurker Lady”, Betsy, & “Mr. Wade”, and I, “Brave Bloggy friend Liz”, thank you for sharing your hugs and heart with us! The worship was so lovely and powerful, and Ruby was so sweet to play “peek-a-boo” with us!
We are so excited for what God is doing in your lives, and we thank you and your family for “sharpening our iron”!
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17 NIV
God bless you, and we love you,
“Brave Bloggy friend Liz”
