Don’t EVER Give Up!!

I have a bit of a story to share today…and it’s a wonderful, marvelous, miraculous, faith-assuring one!!

And this story is just in time for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving2

Oh friends….

Have you ever prayed for something for a long time and still not had an answer??

Have you ever petitioned for years and years and still not had God move?

Have you ever wondered if it’s even worth still praying about?

Have you ever wondered, “Where are you God??”

FRIENDS!!

The Lord has this message for you today:

Do NOT give up! Do NOT quit praying!!  Do NOT stop trusting that God has heard and He WILL move!!

Although the details will have to be vague….I have a delicate story to share as the details are still unfolding.  I do pray that one day I can share it, but for now…I can’t.

This story goes back to my youth…and a situation that occurred that brought much grief to my soul.   There was no resolution and my heart longed for the Lord to heal the situation.

So I began to pray that God would move.

Friends, this was no “cotton-candy prayer”.  God would have to move incredible mountains – like the size of Everest to answer my earnest prayer.

And precious friends, for almost 40 years I prayed.   Yes, I did.  I did not give up.

Earnestly.

Intently.

Expectantly.

Yes, expectantly.

I couldn’t imagine that God wouldn’t want to answer my prayer.  I just couldn’t believe that.

So yes, I prayed with faith.

And over the years, as I patiently pleaded, I thanked Him that one day He would move my Mount Everest.  Even though I had no idea how or when.

And guys…

I am overjoyed, gleeful, thrilled beyond words this Thanksgiving week to report that recently, God Almighty moved Mount Everest.

Yes, He did.

He moved it just like I knew He could.

Because He is our Miracle-working, Mountain-moving, Awe-inspiring, Gasp-giving God.

And He loves to answer our prayers.  His timing was not mine.  But He answered.

So friends…

Don’t ever give up.

Don’t ever stop praying.

Don’t ever stop believing that He will.

He is the God who not only created Mount Everest, but He is the God who He moves it.

  1. I need this reminder. I feel like my prayers for my boys are hitting the ceiling, then bouncing right back down and landing in my lap. Thank you.

    1. Oh friend. Your heart has been broken and shattered. I’m so sure that you will have extra jewels in your crown one day. I kneel in prayer with you. I love you. you’re my hero. And He is still faithful. Even when the answers seem so far away.

  2. I needed this read. I admit that I have stopped praying for a need…I needed a kick in the seat to get at it again in faith. thanks for posting!

  3. Linny,
Thank you for this encouraging testimony! I have an Everest sized situation that has been in my life for 40 years….and I’ve been praying and believing for a complete resolution. This is a reminder that God is not limited by time or by the size of the problem! He’s a mountain moving God!

  4. I actually have a charm I wear everyday which says “Never give up”. There was a time in my life I really needed to remind myself of this each and everyday. At that time, I also had ‘never give up’ tattoo’d on my foot in Chinese letters. Those difficult times are behind me but I remember the importance of moving forward and never giving up. Thanks for the message.
