We Could Use Some Prayer

Well friends, our family could use some prayer.

Dw has been battling something for about 10 days…it started slow and we thought it was probably his seasonal allergies. We were already practicing social distancing because of CV19. Truly, when you have medically fragile kids and an immune-compromised family you know that social distancing is what keeps your family healthy. So that is our normal.

For years we have stayed home during flu seasons from gatherings, church, fellowships, parties etc. just to protect our family although we never called it “social distancing”, we called it “love”.

We are the happy-hand-washing family too – with a bathroom right near the door we enter our home through.Β  And it’s the first place to hit when anyone comes home.

Anyway, as the days passed we expected daddy to improve but he didn’t. I began to throw at him all the natural remedies I love…copious amounts of Vitamin C and D, Elderberry, Garlic (fresh and in pills), probiotics, Zinc, 96 oz of water, the humidifier, diffuser, essential oils, you name it…I was relentless.

Of course I anticipated improvement, but instead it appeared he was getting worse. And then I noticed his coloring was gray. And his cough? It’s awful, it sounds like he could have his intestines come right up and land in his tissue – unlike anything he’s ever had before.

Our GP has been an hour from where we live in Phoenix and we loved him so much we still drove to see him, but then in December he up and moved to Cali. So now what?

Graham began to call around and ONLY by God’s miraculous grace he was able to get an appointment yesterday. I mean, friends, new patient appointments are usually months out! Truly ONLY GOD.

Anyway, Dw went and found the GP to be very knowledgeable and forthright. He listened to his lungs and could hear wheezing but did not want to send him for a chest X-ray as there isn’t any facility that would want to see him with his all symptoms. He told Dw that he has only tested one other patient, but that Dw fits every protocol and so he tested him for CV19. Of course another concern is that Dw turns 65 in 10 days.

So until the results come back he is treating him for bacterial pneumonia. He told Dw he had to go home and that none of us could leave the house under any circumstance.

Dw is sequestered away in an upstairs bedroom…continuing the all the natural remedies as well as the meds from the doc.

In the meantime, Ruby, Nehemiah and I are also sick. Not as sick as him, but definitely sick.

We humbly ask our praying friends to please lift my best friend and lover up (and the rest of us) before the throne of grace for complete healing.

PS Picture taken at our church picnic a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful Arizona winter day.

  1. Oh, Linny, I saw this on FB last night and Thomas and I have been praying diligently for you and DW and all of your precious treasures. God is faithful (as you well know) and nothing is impossible for Him.
“Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” And Who is at His right hand? Our mighty King Jesus!
    Loving you from Idaho.

  4. Praying for Dwight and all of you. Standing on God’s Word!

Yes though he walks through the valley of the shadow of death, he need fear no evil for GOD IS WITH HIM!

  5. Please look up nashvillewife.com…..her latest blogpost ‘coronavirus painting project ‘ and read the comment below of a testimony of a missionary in Africa who had the virus….heat destroys the virus! My husband and I have been spending time in front of our space heater and finding relief from symptoms….just someone praying and wanting to pass along a bit of hope!

    1. I want to confirm this story…the family is from my church. He went from dying to no symptoms in 24 hours after breathing hot air to literally singing a day after that!

  6. Praying for complete healing and restoration to Dwight and each of you! God hears the prayers of the righteous. He is mighty and able! Blessed be the name of the Lord!

  7. Praying for all of you. Please look up articles about using a hand held hair dryer to get hot air to breathe. The virus lives mostly in the nose and sinuses because those are the coolest parts of the body. Heating this route of air is effective in killing the virus. There are instructions online on how to most effectively do this. Please update soon. Prayers and hugs.

  8. Oh Lenny, we will pray for all of you. He holds you close in his hand. He loves those dear vulnerable children and husband so much more than you do. He has the plan already.πŸ€—πŸ™πŸΌ Sandyxx from the UK
