The 4th of July

Isaiah’s FIRST 4th of July – it was AWESOME!! We went to the parade in Bayfield where Liberty, Isaiah and I walked with the Blue Star Moms. It was so moving as the people stood and clapped as we passed. They honored military families and our kids serving this great country of ours. I was moved so much that I cried the entire way down the parade route. It was beautiful.

We spent the day with Seth and Maria and kiddos and eventually caught up with Billy and Jen and their kids. We saw lots of friends downtown and all around it was a wonderful day.
When we were headin to Albertsons to have our annual tailgate party. Graham and I dashed into Albertsons to grab a few fun snacks. We passed those mini-fireworky thingys that you throw on the ground and they pop….and he said, “oh mom we have to get some of those!” I scrunched my nose and said, “Ummmm, that’s more of a dad thing to do”. (We get them every year but come on, Dw is in Africa!) He said, “WHAT? Are you kidding me? Not having those on the 4th is like going for a bike ride without wheels!! Come on mom!” So five boxes later…..
