Home!

It felt so good to come home! When I arrived at the Durango airport and walked through the door there stood my family with a balloon, flowers and their sweet smiling faces. Isaiah and Liberty screamed, “Mommy!” and ran to me throwing their arms around me! Isaiah said, “I glad you home. When you go? Yesterday?” Bless his little heart, he is still working on the whole time frame thing.

Dw said I looked 10 years younger (WOW! Going away works better than Oil Of Olay!). He then gestured as though handing me a key and said, “It’s all yours! I have no idea how you do it!” It was sweet. My big kids loved on me and the little ones clung to me -how wonderful to be home!! Yippee Jesus!!

On the way home from the airport the little ones were talking about how much they missed me and the big kids were dramatizing enduring dad without mom for a whole week! I told them how I couldn’t wait to just snuggle in bed with all of them. (We sometimes all climb on our bed and lay and talk together and it is one of my favorite things to do.)
At the idea of snuggling in bed Liberty said, “Mom maybe we could have a camp out in your room tonight!” Under Dw’s breath Dw said, “That’s not exactly what I had in mind for tonight.” Emma had heard his little mutter and said, “Oh Dad, You are sooo gross!!” I had to turn my face toward the window to hide my muffled giggle.
After looking at my almost-done beautiful kitchen (pictures will be posted soon), opening presents and tucking the little ones into their own bed, Dw and I headed for bed.

I was heading out of the bathroom as he turned on the radio beside the bed to the local Christian radio station and what was playing? Days of Elijah and Year of Jubilee – Dw jumped out of bed, grabbed my arms and we danced and sang around the room to our favorite song!! Could it get any better than that?? A sweet love gift from the Lord – Our Jubilee is coming – Yippee Jesus!

  1. I LOVE your family picture. Everybody looks so happy, handsome and beautiful. Now you need little Jubilee! Your family is such an encouragement to me! Hugs.
