So far…..

I am sitting in McD’s in Alamosa. Our RV made it part way up La Veta Pass in SW Colorado and died. It was partially on the lane of traffic going uphill….very scarey. The kids and I climbed up the mountain, for fear that someone would hit it and send debris flying. God’s presence was there. We knew it. He is always faithful.

It took three hours for a tow truck to get us off the mountain. We were frozen to the bone.

I will have to tell you guys the rest of the story….but for now, we spent the night in the RV (after it was towed) to the WalMart parking lot. The temperature was 21 degrees and trust me, it was freezing and we cuddled together for warmth. We are now trying to figure out what to do. Dw thinks a Molatoff (sp?) cocktail thrown into it would be best.

We have about 3 hours till home. Updating twitter and praying we are home soon. A hot shower has probably never sounded better. Thank you for your prayers!!

When I read you where going to try and drive the RV home I started praying for your safety!!! I think your Hubby has the right idea!!! I can't wait to hear that you are all home safe and sound!

  2. Wow! Well this will definitely be a vacation you will always remember! I am praying for you, friends. You will make it home. I know it! 🙂

  3. Linny, I told you to sell it! I wish Chris could have been there to help you. I so glad your all safe though and I just noticed on twitter you were on your way home.

    Get rid of that RV!

If I lived closer I would bring you a nice warm dinner and some hot coffee.

  4. i am really hopeful that your RV is salvageable. i think it's so great to have one, but not if it gives you more stories than you can handle!!! yikes, what a trip. so glad you're almost home!!

  5. Linny,
I have so enjoyed reading your posts…what adventures! And what a joy to have a family who can laugh at it all! I am praying for a quick, safe, and warm journey home!

I also wanted let you know that I received an email this week telling me that I am "at the top of the list" and will be contacted when a girl becomes available for adoption at Sanyu. I am going to get my Elizabeth! Your posting about singles adopting made a huge impact on members of my family who were less than thrilled with my adoption plan. God bless you!

  7. Oh Linny,

I hope you made it home safe and sound!!! Sorry the Cottage wasn't all you dreamed it would be. I've been THUNKING that the RV just wanted to come to the Pacific Northwest instead! Glad you got to visit precious family and friends on this trip but still praying for the day you might head this way!

Love and Hugs to you all!
