Memorial Box Monday

In a perfect world, I would have sat leisurely last night and typed a Memorial Box Monday….snuggled up in my favorite “bear” chair….but this world is not perfect, or at least mine is far from perfect!! Instead I scurried about putting the last pieces together to leave this morning.

I could not find Elijah’s backpack. The four littles have matching ones {thanks to a precious bloggy friend} but Elijah’s was missing. I prayed. I prayed more. The kids searched. As I was tucking Elijah in he said, “Let’s ask Jesus to find it.” I had not prayed with Elijah…so I said, “You pray boyfriend.” So he did. The sweetest, most precious little prayer. I tucked him in and thought of one last place….and there it was hanging under dress-up clothes!! I can’t wait for him to get up and hear that Jesus, who does not ever disappoint, showed mommy where it was. Yippeee Jesus!

We are heading through Colorado today and Nebraska….up by Chicago before long….

I will be updating the Twitter on the side bar throughout the trip. I will also be posting throughout the trip….and thank you for your prayers…I woke up this morning and wondered if I was out of my mind and then I remember the guy who hacked my blog last night….and yeah….we’re off!!

  1. If you need a place to stop, pee, shower, stretch, crash, and eat before you head into Chicago traffic…you guys can stop at my house. We live about 1.5 hours from O'hare in Chicago. (Rockford)

Seriously! My house is perpetually a mess…I hope you don't mind. :0) Lots of fresh towels and clean bathrooms….play set in back yard.

I can pack you up some 'trip treats' as we call them…long drives are normal for our family.

Hey, even if you aren't in total need of rest, but ARE in need of trip treats, contact me though the bloggy system, and I can meet you near I90…I'm sure you'll be on 90! I can give you a box of goodies for the rest of the way.
