Friday

I can’t believe it’s already night and I haven’t updated about the doctor’s visit.
My days have been consumed with trying to help our “daughter”. K. Her situation has only gotten worse. I will share more about it in the next day or so.
*********
Yesterday I went to the ENT. He is the man, if you remember, that bought our home on the canyon. When he came into the examining room, his staff must have already given him a heads up that we were the couple who he and his wife had bought their current home from.
Kinda’ funny, right?
Anyway, he said that they just sent their youngest child to college, and with 6 bedrooms, it really is too big. He then said, “So do you want it back?” Made us laugh for sure!
I have done a lot of fasting this week. Mostly for my sweet “K” but I also included some prayers that the doctor would have the Lord’s wisdom. That He would speak right through his mouth.
The doctor{who was very personable} went over everything with us. He asked lots of questions. He reviewed all the reports. He examined me.
Then finally he said, “If you were my wife, I would have you wait a couple of months
and repeat the sonogram and biopsy.”
I said, “And you love your wife, right?”
He belly laughed.
Just sayin’.
He assured me that he indeed did love his wife.
Whew.
So I walked out not knowing anything more than I did, but truly, I had total peace. I have complete trust that God spoke through him. I just knew, with all the fasting that he was going to have God’s wisdom and speak His words.
So we wait.
And, of course, we continue to pray for healing. Can you imagine if the next time
they test there is nothing there at all. Wouldn’t that be the best??

  1. So, so, so glad the appointment went well. I've been praying that God would bring the right doctors and would give them wisdom, and I've also been praying that He would heal you, if that is how He chooses to mot glorify Himself in this situation. Praying continually.

    Also praying for K.

  2. Linny, you are amazing how quick you are with your wit even at a Dr office! I can't even think of important questions to ask till 10 minutes after I have walked out of the office!

God's peace is so amazing and I am glad you are basking in it today!

    bee blessed

  3. Linny! I have been thnking of you and praying for you the last two days knowing that you had that appointment! Yes! Seeing God heal you would be the very best thing!!!!!! Praying for complete healing, peace and joy in the next few months as you wait to go back!

  4. That will be my prayer – that there is nothing there next time!

I'm also so thrilled about the little guys that get to come home (to Canada) from Uganda; I've been praying on and on for them. Couldn't imagine being in their shoes!

Since Gabriel never read your blog, he is still piecing together your family. He asked if you had a few little guys from Africa. I told him yes, and he said, "well, that would explain the little people I saw Emma leading around." When I told him that you had an Elijah, he said, "Oh, I miss our Elijah."

It's so cool how many kids we know from different countries in Africa. I want to add an Ethiopian to the mix!

    Blessings,

  5. Oh, Linny, God's got something wonderful in store here. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!! Praying with you….

  6. "Nothing there at all" would be my prayer, too! I know it's hard when the Lord's answer is "wait", but I also know He uses the wait time, too! He will prove Himself faithful!
I will continue to pray for your healing, and He has promised to hear!

  7. That is exactly what we will pray for Linny!!!! Complete healing!!!!
God bless you and lifting your "daughter" up in prayer….along with you and your family.

  8. Linny, This sounds so much like a report I got this week of an ultasound and tons of bloodwork-the specialist can't figure out why my numbers are elevated and wants to wait. Like you I think it would be awesome if in 3 mos nothing was elevated or abnormal.
Hugs to you today. Our God Reigns.

  9. Oh friend, is there anything more reassuring then when a doctor gives his or her diagnosis based on what they would do for their own family member? God is faithful. Continuing to pray for healing for you my precious friend.

    Love you,

    Tina

  10. So now that you know the Dr. personally does that mean next time you and I decide we want to go exploring at your old house you won't have to take me trudging through the bushes?! I'm just sayin'! I love you lady, and am praying for complete healing… we know God can do that!

  11. Yes ma'am, I can imagine and will continue praying for you. It delights my heart to know that God gave you peace prior to this appointment and that His hand is moving behind the scenes for you. I'm thankful the doctor shared his honest opinion with you and I believe God's wisdom was flowing through his mouth.

Believing God's best for you and may He be glorified through your life!

  12. wow, I have to tell you this.. my Aunt had a very similar situation and the neurologist had her thinking she was on her last leg and must operate NOW yada yada yada.. she sought out a 2nd opinion and heard the same words..If it were my family member I would wait a few months and re-ultrasound, then biopsy if needed.
    xo Glad for the peace!!!
