Linny sleeps – We pray!

Hi my new friends!

Thank you for your encouraging comments they are working. Linny is going to bed now but while she sleeps how about we turn up the heat from this side of the world?

Pray that she sleeps deeply & that her sleep will be unbroken. Pray for rest in her soul. Pray for peace in the deepest recesses of her heart. Pray that she awakes with God confidence. Pray for Emma and Graham that God would teach them much through this experience. Pray for the Judge to say yes to both children. Pray that Linn can get moved from where she is staying down the hill to the babies home before Court.

While Linny sleeps will you pray?

Pray that when she awakes she knows God has moved and that God will put a song of praise in her heart.

Pretty cool eh? She rests – we do spiritual warfare. She’s resting in God’s arms – while we storm heaven with prayers. I think this is what God had in mind when he called us the family of God. That’s what you have become to us – Family! Blessings to all of you! Dwight

  1. Our family is praying for you here in Ohio. I bet if we list every state that is out there praying, we will have covered the United States. We are also praying for you Dwight while you are back here holding down the fort and waiting for your children to come home.

    Take care,
    Lisa

  2. You can sure count on me to PRAY like crazy from my little corner of the world!

Dw, you and Linn aren’t helping the addictions of us bloggers…I’m glued to my computer more than ever now!!! I love getting these updates every few hours!!

  3. Dwight and Linn, Sorry for still being one of the closet bloggers (I guess I am a little like Dwight on these things). I’ve actually not take the time to check in for about two weeks but for some reason just now I had this strong desire to see what’s happening with the Saunders. I love that you ask for everyone to pray NOW and how the Lord IMMEDIATELY placed on my heart to check in. He is obviously pulling everyone together to pray with you and Linn and your prayer circle. Judy and I will get at it right now and pray for Linn and the children.

  4. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, They will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
    Isaiah 40:31

Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation.
    Psalms 62:3-6

    PRAYING, PRAYING, PRAYING!

  5. One of our favorite scriptures comes from Psalm 121 which tells us the Lord never slumbers…that gives us all rest, doesn’t it?
    Psalm 121
    A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
    the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
    he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.
Joining you in the battle…storming heaven with you all on behalf of these precious children!
And Linn…sleep…just sleep, peaceful sleep! All will be well–Phil. 4:6-7–familiar, but oh…so good!
    Love to you!

  6. So as I was praying for Linn and for Elijah and Elizabeth… I asked God to give me a verse for you. I asked for a specific verse. The way I read my Bible is random. I pray before I open it and ask God to direct which book I will be reading. Then I flip it open and start checking it out… here is where I flipped to. I truly believe that God is just reinforcing to you today… that you have nothing to fear.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. THose who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41: 10-13

I believe this is the same verse that Linn’s brother Dan spoke during our prayer for Isaiah. I believe God is bringing it back to give you the encouragement you need to know that he has your back in this too. BOTH children… he is righteous and buff and says to you… do not fear… I will help you. Oh… how much he loves us. lv, jen

  7. Hello,
I came across your blog via someone else’s 🙂 I have been catching up on EVERYTHING! Couldn’t stop reading—from beginning to end! Wow, what an incredible journey the Father has had you on. Amazing! He is FAITHFUL and TRUE! I am standing on ALL the words, prophesies and dreams that He has spoken to both of your hearts over the last few months—that EVERY one of them would be fulfilled in the next few days. What a beautiful testimony is unfolding right before our eyes. FAITHFUL and TRUE is working on your behalf–quietly going about HIS business to bring your babies home, just as He told you He would!
    Standing with you in prayer.
    blessings,
Adeye Salem (also in cold Colorado 🙂 )

  8. Dw and Linn-

My name is Jaime, and I am a friend of the Opp family. (Who I love dearly!) And, as Linn calls is, I am one of the blog lurkers. I have been following your journey since your journey with Isaiah. You and your family, and your journey’s have left an impact on my life! And I thank you for that!

I read your blog last night before I went to bed. I kept coming back to the part when Linn was talking about if you happened to be awakened in the night, pray. It stuck in my head. So this morning, at 4:33, I woke up, and first thing I thought of was you guys, so I prayed.

While getting ready for school I couldn’t help but think this was all God. I got on to check if there had been any updates, and sure enough, at 4:50 Linn posted.

I just wanted to share this with you guys and let you know God is moving in mighty ways! With help from prayers all over the world! Thank you for sharing your story with all of us!!

  9. I will most certainly be praying, praying and more praying. I have Faith!!!!!!!! It seems as if we are all there by her side, amazing how those feelings can travel across the ocean and be felt right here. I will pray for your peace as well Dwight, I’m sure you are a bundle of nerves waiting to hear good news.

  10. you are all so surrounded in prayer. GOD is in control and joys in our seeking HIS face. ready for that wake-up, again, in the middle of the night. God’s timing is perfect.

  11. I keep forgetting what the time difference is in Uganda from where I live, so just know that practically every other moment I am thinking of your family and sending up a prayer. He can move mountains, so adjusting the time a little is a piece of cake!
Even though we’ve never met, I’m sending big hugs to your whole adorable clan!

  12. It’s so cool to see how many people God has brought together to pray for these children – how much He loves them! You can count on Pete and I to be standing in the gap from Oklahoma. we’ll be checking in early to see how it went in the wee hours of the morning (our time).

  13. I am so excited to see others being called to pray… it’s been an all day thing here every time the Lord has laid these children’s names on my heart. Which has been a LOT.
And having those pictures of their precious faces to put with those prayers… it felt like I could wrap them specifically in our petitions to God.

The song on my lips today was
WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE

    Still praying
