Over in Our Neck of the Woods….

It’s been snowing and snowing….a couple of days ago someone said there are four snowstorms to hit over a few days….not sure if that’s true, but I thought you might like to see how pretty it is…..
These pictures were taken yesterday in the late afternoon….Emma and I had an appointment in town that we could not miss, and it was downright blizzardy out….Graham was willing to pose cause he LOVES the snow and wanted you guys
to see what it was doing here at our home….Dw & I took a walk together up and down our laneLord, protect our military – both deployed and at home…

This picture was taken so you could see the snow on the rail….

This one was about 3 hours later…..

Outside my kitchen window

I came in after tucking the little guys into bed and found Graham and Emma snuggled in the chair I showed you yesterday. There was another empty chair. The entire couch too. But they were sitting together – I love that my kids love each other.

  1. I love this too. I have Elijah and Olivia who are very close. They sit up on Liv's bunk bed giggling and reading together and talking. Then end up falling asleep up there. I love to see siblings being such close friends. My brother and I are close too. LOVE the snow. We haven't had very much at all. 🙁

  2. I remember the successive storms that hit in Jan 08 and buried my house in 7 feet of snow (with 4 ft on the roof!). My hubby was deployed then but my brother or nephew would come over and clear my driveway. I didn't have 4wd but my sister would pick up milk. I think snowstorms bring people together odd as it may seem. The snow was beautiful then but I'm quite happy to still be able to see my grass up here in the Springs. 😉 Happy Snowstorm to you!

  3. Oh my goodness, Linny…do we even live in the same State???? WE have had nothing of that–no snow in sight for weeks and weeks.

    Wow.

Thank you for rejoicing with me today. Thank you for sharing in our joy. I'm as nervous as can be, but holding onto His promise that I CAN do all things through Christ!!!

  4. Nice pictures! No such thing as snow here in Florida right now. 😉
I love your home! So sweet
haha, your kids are so awesome!
Me and my brother, who is four years older than me, sometimes sit on the couch together and mess around on the computer or play video games. So fun!

  5. The snow is BEAUTIFUL. We are having the driest warmest winter on record. Weird!

Love the pic of the kids in the chair. I, too, have big boys and girls that aren't afraid to snuggle. Now in their 20s, they are BEST of friends.

  6. It's NOT FAIR! ;o) Quit hogging all the snow and send some "real" snow to SC. We only get icy frozen snow that is slushy and never sticks well. If my children saw these pics, they'd ask to visit your family. lol lol

Jealous in the upstate of SC …..

    Love ya!

  7. Im so grateful that you found the beauty in all of this instead of complaining. I too love how children, provided with the right enviroment can love eachother the way your children do!! God is so good. May we NOT ever keep silent and instead give him praise!! Thankful for your family.

  8. Linny, I've been praying for you each time I see news reports of your snow. So are the photos of your new home???? Stay warm dear one. Love the family snuggling together.
    Hugs, Noreen

  9. Linn,
Our air conditioning is running today. Yep it just kicked on at 79 degrees in the house. Have I ever mentioned that I despise living here because there are no seasons? One day I pray we will be in Virginia in our little cabin enjoying the snow outside.
Trying not to get my hopes up. Our planned year and a half is a long time from now. I will just enjoy your pictures while we wait.

  10. I'm so jealous! I love snow…we got a few inches a few weeks ago and you would have thought it was a few feet…lol! By the way I sat down and told my husband all about your family last night and about your Wild Adventure posts…it just blessed me all over again to talk about it…then i had to show him and the kids your pictures and we all just stood in AWE of our awesome God!

  11. I heard about the snow in Durango today from one of my profs who has a son living in that area… and I smiled, just knowing that, as soon as I had a chance to check your blog, there would be fun snow pictures. 🙂

  12. I LOVE SNOW! I live in WV so we get a good bit too. It's magical… what a wonderful gift from the Lord. I am curious to hear about how Miss Jubilee enjoyed the snow. Has she ever been around it?

  14. That is some serious snow. I would love to get that much snow just once.

I agree with Graham, I just said yesterday that it has been the longest week of y life for some reason.

    Enjoy your snow!

  16. Lucky you with all the snow! We live in northern B.C and ours has melted and the ski hills are closed. I love the snow falling, it is so calming.(If your not driving in it)
