Here’s What Some of Those Bloggy Friends Look Like!!

Tuesday was just so much fun!  As it looked at first, there was going to be two coming to have coffee.  But before long, two turned to eight!  It was so wonderful to hug the necks of bloggy friends!
Such a blessing to hear the stories of those who came…
some adoptive moms,
some in the midst of adoptions,
some praying that they can adopt – it was amazing!
Little ones played….
Everyone visited with everyone…
The mall was fairly quiet, except for our little
bloggy crowd outside of Starbucks….

I had totally planned to share some things that the Lord has been whispering in my ear, but this sweet group was enjoying visiting so much the opportunity just didn’t come.  I had thought I would kind of bounce these things off the one or two who showed up and hear what they thought about this idea, but with a larger group, and the sweet conversation that was taking place, we were all just having too much fun!
And then there came a little surprise {for me!}….
We’d been mingling for awhile and I noticed a young woman across the mall at the Cinnabon’s surrounded by a bunch of little ones.  She looked over at all of us.  I saw her look several times.
Then I got busy talking and didn’t notice anything more, until she suddenly was about 5 feet from me.   She kind of nervously leaned toward me and said, “Are you Linny?”  I said, “Yes!”  She said, “I’m not a stalker or anything, but I just had to say ‘hi’, I read your blog.”
I was perplexed.  Here I was at a mall in Denver having invited anyone who could to come have coffee. So I said, “Did you read on the blog about the invitation to meet bloggy friends for coffee?,” she said, “No, I haven’t been on, I just came from Wyoming to shop with my mom and some of my kids.  I walked past you earlier and thought, ‘that has got to be Linny’ and then I saw your kids {Emma, Elijah and Graham} and knew it was you…I had to say something!”
How’s that for crazy?
A bloggy friend from a different state ‘happened’ to be at the same place as we were meeting that day!  And here I was from the SW corner of Colorado up in Denver!
I kept laughing.
I could not believe it and neither could she!
And so this is Katie from Wyoming.
It was a wonderful, delightful morning.   Slowly the crowd trickled and as the last were getting ready to leave,  we gathered in a circle and prayed together.
I had told Dw I would be back at the hotel by noon.  At 1:15 I made it back.  Too much fun to leave!!  Thank you to all who came.
Thank you, sweet friends, for all the other invites for coffee around the world.
We’ll have to see if we can make that happen.

And I'm wondering….did you cut your hair??!! Was that left unsaid but is the thing you were wondering about??? If you did, it looks DARLING! If you didn't and it was just pulled back that day…it still looks adorable! 🙂

  6. Linny,
Just thought I would share what God has done since we fasted and prayed a while back about adoptions. God has moved and we are done with our homestudy and have been accepted by a child placing agency! May God be praised! Thanking everyone for fasting and praying for our family.

    Psalm 20:5
We will shout for JOY when we are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all our requests.

  7. Looks like too much fun! and if you're planning on making all those other invites happen, please start on the east coast as you work yourself around the world!!! Remember you get pie with your coffee here! LOL

  13. Oh what a wonderful gathering of friends! (But I'm trying REALLY hard not to be jealous.) And so amazing about the reader who just happened to be there at the same time!

Okay, here's the plan, after you visit Robbie in south Georgia, stay with us just outside of Atlanta. We don't have a beach, but we have Stone Mountain, the Coca-Cola museum, the Georgia Aquarium, and a Starbucks/Chick-fil-A/Cracker Barrel every few miles.
