A Chick-Fil-A Surprise….

Last week we took off to do a little exploring.
We ended up a  ChickFilA {I know, shocker!}
The sweet girl who was a PR rep for Chick-Fil-A was bringing us the food after ordering.  She asked  about how many kids we had?? I said, “11”.  She got all excited, “Do you have those little stickers for the back of your car for everybody?”  I thought that was a crazy question!
I told her how Autumn had just bought all those little stickers representing each of us and had just put them on when she was down visiting us a few weeks ago.
She said, “WE SAW YOU! My kids and I were driving down the road and we saw your van!  We were counting all the family and my kids were saying, ‘look they must have 11 kids’…”
It was pretty funny.
So she visited a while and we told her Ruby’s story and that we were moving here.  She said, “Would you come for dinner on Tuesday night on my treat?”
{Can you believe that?}
What an unexpected blessing!
When we arrived on Tuesday night we found that Melissa was not only expecting us, but had decorated a little place for us to sit and each of us had a balloon and a Chick-Fil-A cow.

This sweet sister in Christ is coming with her husband to help us move into our home too!  New friends already – from the Lord.
 So very wonderful of Him.
No doubt, God has crossed our paths for a specific purpose and we are blessed beyond words to grow our friendship!
Meet Melissa – the sweet Chick-Fil-A PR
person this side of heaven!
{There are Chick-Fil-A’s in heaven, right? haha
Doesn’t her smile just exude Christ?}

We celebrated Sweet Savannah’s 16th birthday too.
Such a wonderful evening all around.
How blessed we are in our new home.
Faithful God.

  1. I remember eating Chick fil a but it's been awhile since there's not one close. How fun for all of you to find a friend in the Lord so soon and it's always feels good when you get a good surprise like that! Hugs and hope you have a great weekend!

  2. That is pretty cool!! I think it is God's way of saying this is where you guys belong!!!!

    Happy Birthday Savannah! I can say you are sweet sixteen too as you were as sweet as could be when we met you! PS Lauren turns 16 on the 15th!!! Didn't realize you two were so close in age!

  3. We live in GEORGiA, the capitol of Chick fil a…got to love it…and did you know that they honor all of their coupons even if there expired as in several years old…plus you can use three at each visit. GOT to LOVE some Chick fil a! Several folks I know work at the headquarters here. really neat place…

  4. What a fun story. So glad they took care of you. Looks like you're a pretty awesome Chick-fil-A PR person as well! I met Mr. Cathy (The man who started it) when I was a SR in high school. He was either 82 or 92 and still teaching boys Sunday school at church.

  5. That was such a precious treat for your family! I worked at ChickFIlA in high school and just a few weeks after I began working there my great-grandmother passed away. My mom called to let me know at work and the store manager of the CFA was the one to take the call. He and his wife prepared a large nuggeet tray, a large brownie tray, 2 gallons of tea, and 2 gallons of lemonade and sent me on my way. I was very impressed as a 16 year old that their kindess to me and my family was really undeserving. They did not know me very well, yet they went over and above anything we would have ever expected. CFA continues to be a family favorite for my family, and we still frequent that same location!

    I am so glad to see Ruby out and about! It is so amazing what a family can do for a child!

  6. PRAISE THE LORD!
    From a family that has moved to a new area a few months ago – THIS IS HUGE! I keep praying that God would send godly friends our way but nothing has happened yet. TRULY A BLESSING!

    P.S. I was telling my husband on our way to church this morning about your story (again) and now you are moving etc… He said "well if they start a church in PHX, tell them, we are coming" – I thought that was 'odd' but exciting at the same time 🙂 Never know….
