Bears, Balloons and Blessings

We arrived yesterday in Pagosa Springs.  I think they moved it because the drive seemed sooo long.   Or maybe it was because we had just come back from a 6,200+ mile road trip.  {haha}

Autumn’s best friend, Molly, had flown to Phoenix to ride with us to the wedding.  Molly is “Benjamin’s” sister.  She will also be in the wedding…and she is a precious young woman whose joyous spirit is such a blessing to all of us.  We love having her here.

When we were driving to Pagosa Molly commented that she wished that we could see a bear while here.   Well if the Lord wasn’t up to something with that comment….cause today the girls and I were in the car driving and we saw about 30 people gathering on a someone’s front lawn.

I remarked, “Wow, another party, and they didn’t invite us.”  Then we realized as we got even closer that people had their cell phones out and were taking pictures up the tree.  We stopped to find that there was a bear up the tree.  Molly was overjoyed!

And early this morning, we were sipping our yummy coffee, relaxing together and wouldn’t ya’ know it, but a hot air balloon bumped down on the lake out front of this sweet house we are staying in!!

How stinkin’ fun is that?

Bountiful blessings abounding for our beautiful bride {and her big ol’ family}…

  1. My husband went to USAFA in Colorado Springs and I hoped to see a bear just once while he was in school. We dated all four years he was there and I never saw one!

  2. Awesome! I have lost track of the moments when I have had a fleeting thought of something I would like and then, lo and behold, there it is! He delights in doing that I think!
