One of my most favorite verses ever:
“The grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God stands forever.”
Isaiah 40:8
I memorized this verse when I was just a little girl. About the time I memorized it I found a little tiny ‘baby daisy’ and put it in my Bible pressed beside that verse where it remained for approximately 40 years, but just like the flowers that fade, my little flower disappeared, although my Bible remained.
Perhaps this is why I love flowers so much,
they remind me, that even in their spectacular beauty,
they, too, are fleeting.
There is only one thing that stands forever:
God’s Holy and Righteous Word

I know this has nothing to do with your post, but I was wondering if you could utilize the knee team for something. Today in Gothenburg, Sweden a 9 year old girl named Anna went missing. She left home to walk to school and never made it to school, but no one realized that she was gone until many hours later. Tonight the whole neighborhood has been out searching for her. (this is the same neighborhood that my husband grew up in and his parents still live). I know that many children are abducted in the US, but this is really unheard of in Sweden. Please pray that she will get home safely and that she is not harmed, for comfort for her family and that somehow this will bring people to Christ and glorify him. Thank you so much.

LOVE that verse! i am reminded that God's promises never, ever change. Not all of us may like who is president but one thing I am sure of is that God is still the same that he was yesterday, today and tomorrow.

SHE WAS FOUND!!!!!! GOD BE PRAISED!!!! About 2 1/2 hours after I wrote you and my husband and I prayed they found her….seemingly unharmed, but really scared. We don't know many of the details but she was found with a 20 year old man (that seriously needs prayer) and she was hidden under mens clothing. Please continue to pray for her healing and that this may bring people to faith. Praise Jesus forever! I cannot stop praising Him for his mercy and kindness and we were able to share this with our eight year old who is struggling with prayer and God hearing.
