Calling All Troops!!

Friends, we have got to join together and do something!
The world seems to be going nuts at mock-speed!
This morning’s news from Egypt left me speechless.
I had been wanting to call for a day of prayer and fasting…
and when I saw the news I knew it had to be called today.
A Place Called Simplicity has been known as a safe avenue to share
prayer requests and pray for one another.
You all have many concerns, struggles and needs.
So do I.
And the world?
Oh my.
When we have had a day of Prayer and Fasting
we have seen God move seemingly immoveable mountains!
He loves when friends “gather” together to
before the throne of grace.
Would you be willing to join together with others
around the world
this
Thursday

February 19, 2015?

Please plan to join us in prayer.
If you are able to fast,
please do so,
even if just a meal.
If you have never fasted before,
I pray you decide that this will be the day that
you begin this spiritual discipline.
I will share about fasting in the next day or so.

“And let us not be weary in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Galatians 6:9

  1. Hi Linny, just got home and checking out all the news. I have not even gotten to the news about Egypt. I find the world is losing so much when we have so much to offer if we would just put our differences aside. Yes, I will stand with you on Thursday and have a day of fasting. Thank you very much for setting this up.
P.S. not sure if those hands belong to your little ones…so precious are they.

  2. When I heard this news I was sickened and I came here right away knowing it would be a place of prayer. I am in and in the meanwhile I am praying non stop for this world…so heartbreaking. I sensed today such oppression on people I was around, this was even before I heard about this. The battle is real, let us not grow weary and stand on His word like never before. Love you and thankful for a friend like you.

    1. The only thing that brings me comfort is that God is on the throne and He is working, even when we can't see it. He moves as we pray and fast with pure hearts. I am so grateful you are joining in and I have to say, I am thankful that you knew that this would be a place of prayer. That is part of the legacy I want to leave. Prayer changes things!

  3. The verses on the bottom photo with the orange flower…..I have been repeating those to myself over and over today…..I am certainly in for a day of fasting and prayer. Thank you sweet friend xoxo

  4. I am in. And I am so excited about your book!!! Cannot wait to read it and rejoice with you even more for all that God has done and is doing through Ruby's life.
