Where I’m At Right Now…

When faced with uncertain circumstances…

Or when encountering never-dreamed-of changes…

Or when saying “yes” to the Lord takes you to places that you never dreamed of…

Or when walking calmly through life you come to a road that turns in unexpected ways….

Or when the path you are walking is full of unchartered waters…

Or when the Lord’s plans interrupt yours….

Or when waiting on the Lord means your days aren’t turning out like you planned…

Or when a health tragedy leaves you stunned…

Or when sleep won’t come because of all you are facing…

Or when someone you loved has betrayed you….

Or when God’s peace seems miles from where you are standing…

Or when the Lord’s timing is a surprise to your soul….

There is only one thing to do….

Simply Trust.

He is faithful.

He has always been faithful.

He will remain faithful.

No matter what.

We can trust Him.
****

Personally, it’s where I am.

Right this minute.

Anyone else with me in this?

  1. Those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint. Great is His faithfulness!

  2. Yes!!! I am with you. I was reading about Elijah today in 1 Kings 19…God taught Elijah to hear His quiet whisper. This resonates with my soul. He IS so faithful!!

    1. Psalm 25:14 is one of my favorite verses of all. "He whispers secrets to those who fear Him!! " It boggles my brain that He loves us so much that He whispers to us! Praise His name!

    1. I'm sorry RaD…I pray that through it all you have seen God's faithful hand and His grace sustains you, His wisdom directs you and His peace overwhelms you!!

  3. I have been there all week…with no end in sight. I am leaning b on the Lord and as much as it hurts right now….I truly want to learn what he wants me to learn. I will pray for your family, dear sister. I can't sleep…lots of time whispering with Jesus.

    1. Oh I have been there Autumn! Tenderly pleading with Him to show me all He wants me to know and learn well. I pray His peace soothes your hurting soul. And that as the verse in Job speaks, "One day you will look back on this season as waters that have passed by."

  4. yes!!! we are hoping to move…..selling our house….SLOWLY…..can't move until we sell. Should we move since it has been so long? We are sure this is what God has planned….maybe…..beginning to second guess things…..so I really, really needed to read this blog today. Thank you! His plan and timing are perfect.. That I trust!

  5. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
    (Philippians 4:6-8 ESV)

These verses were my comfort this week! Praying for you.

  6. Amen! We went back into doing foster care two years ago. We are older and have adopted five times in the past all special needs and medically fragile children. We thought the Lord might have one more child out there for us to adopt in these retirement years. Two years later, right nowm we have three children that have had Termination of Parental rights in our home and DFCS is asking us to adopt them. (ages 1,2 and 3) One of these children have VERY challenging behaviors. Then the biological mom of the toddlers in our home got pregnant again and was still dealing with drug issues and so that new born has been removed and DFCS asked us to take it, to keep the siblings togeter. So that makes child 11 if it stays!…It looks there will be TPR within a year on the new little one. There is a very strong possiblity of us adopting four children in less than a year. Three with special type needs. Whew. My husband and I are just trusting in the Lord on this and taking one day at a time. Sometimes a moment at a time. God is so good. My life is His. Use us all dear Lord for your Glory! Praying for you!

    1. Susan- wow… you sound like us! I tell Linny often how I always feel like the square peg trying to fit in this round-hole world. You are probably a few years ahead of us in the game, but we have a house full of special needs little ones (are we crazy?!?) and still see more in our future if the Lord would have it. So nice to hear from other "square-peggers!"

    2. Big hug to you Dana! No, I don't feel we are crazy at all, even though those around us are raising eyebrows and giving advice about our decissions. Jesus gave His whole life for us and we are suposed to do the same for Him. If we say no to His calling on our lives because it may make life harder, that is just sad. Look at the hard He went thru for us. I can honestly say that since we stepped out many years ago adopting the children He asked us to adopt, our lives have never been the same. We see miracles in abundance and see Him use us to meet needs and get things done we could never do alone with out His helping us every day. One thing I have noticed, is that once a family makes that step to adopt one special needs child, God fills up that willing home with as many as they can take. Praise God all children are a blessing from the Lord and I fully believe more will be on the way for you! God bless you for being His hands and feet! I love being a square peg!!!! In this world but not of it! God be with you!
