Sweet Sunday

It’s Sunday!! And that makes it a Sweet day to advocate for the orphan.

Okay, okay, okay.   I guess I have to spill it…

In my humble opinion, Monday is a Marvelous day to talk about the orphan…actually Tuesday is Terrific Too, Wednesday Works Wonderfully,  believe it or not, Thursday Thoroughly rocks and Friday is pretty Fantastic, Saturday Stands out as a great day also…and just like that, we are back to Sunday being a pretty Sweet day.

Yeah.  I like that.

Cause friends, while we are busy eating, sleeping, playing, shopping, working, chatting, laughing, talking,  praying, churching, working, studying, reading, sipping coffee, watching TV, cheering, and cleaning, millions around the world wait.

They wait.

They wait for the longing of their heart to be fulfilled: a family that will love, accept, and want them unconditionally.

So many faces.  But each face has a name.

Like Handsome Mr. Yancy:

Sweet friends, on this Sweet Sunday, I have to say, Down Syndrome doesn’t define Yancy.  It’s just a diagnosis.  God made Yancy in His image and Yancy is precious in His sight. Yancy has infinite value.  Yancy has a purpose and the God of the Universe longs to set Yancy {the lonely} in a family.  Could you be Yancy’s family?  Look at his sweet face.

Yancy’s Prognosis:  Will thrive by leaps and bounds surrounded by a loving family!

From Robert M. who spends time with him as a volunteer where Yancy is:  Yancy is such a cute and engaging boy despite his surroundings and longs to interact with others. He doesn’t really use words but it is very clear he understands well and can still communicate. One time I taught him a few signs and he picked it up. If a family was open to an older boy who has DS they would be SO SO blessed to adopt Yancy. He could bring so much joy.

There is a really fun video of Yancy discovering making a selfie video…

Yancy has such a tender smile…no doubt, he would be such a blessing to any family.

And since this is a Sweet Sunday, let’s also meet Bobby:

Diagnosis: Down Syndrome

Prognosis:  Joy to all who meet him; Prince {look at his shirt} of a family who says, “Yes!”

Robert who spends time with Bobby shares this:

Bobby is an active boy who loves to play, especially with play dough, sand and bouncy balls.  He enjoys bouncing on the trampoline and swinging on the swing set!  During these times, you will hear his infectious giggles! He goes to kindergarten every day and participates in different sensory type activities to help him develop. He doesn’t currently use words to communicate but uses gestures and sounds to communicate basic needs which has also been making improvements. He would likely do well with sign language. He is a very sweet boy who we really hope can find a family soon!

There are also three precious videos of Bobby:

The dancing one below is my favorite!!  He’s got way more rhythm than this mama does!

Steve Jobs once said,

“People who are crazy enough to think they can change the world,

are the ones who do.”

Please change Yancy and Bobby’s world – consider sharing their story and please pray!

Yancy and Bobby are on the Shared List.  For more information write to Erin:  cor867@yahoo.com
