The First Week

Well we’ve done a ton of dancing this week, slowly, slowly, slowly.  We hadn’t gone anywhere except the park and church until yesterday when we were able to go to a Prayer Rally downtown and join 6,700 other Christians praying for our nation.  It was amazing and like a friend of mine, I couldn’t see much of the time because of the tears.

On the home front life seems to ever-so-slowly be settling in nicely to a beautiful waltz.

Pearl is adjusting beautifully and plays on the floor now easily, although when first home the dogs looked too scary to do so.  Once she realized that they paid absolutely zero attention to her she’s ventured about.

And it’s gotten so that sometimes when Ruby gets all excited Pearl laughs.  It makes me giggle.

On another sweet bonding note, about 2 days after the kids and I arrived home, I overheard the boys laughing.  They were all tucked into bed but clearly there were some shenanigans going on.  I could hear the peals of giggles and shouts of glee.  I took a tiny peek and saw that they were having a stuffed animal war and Vern was right in the thick of it.  For two hours they carried on until I finally decided things out to settle a bit and took them in bowls of ice cream.

They loved it all and I would say they are bonding just fine!!  IMG_9042

Happy Saturday to you!!

    1. Not sure where your one liner is coming from but actually we have dealt with RAD. But as most people know, the internet is not forgiving and anything that is typed on it could potentially be around for forever and used in ways that are not healing, but hurtful. We speak of RAD privately and only in person at that. Our responsibility is to always protect our children, who are our number ONE priority.
