Thank You All

You guys are such a blessing. Thank you all for the outpouring of encouraging words, messages, texts and most of all – your prayers. There is no doubt that our astoundingly faithful God moves when many pray together. Why does He do it like that? I don’t know for sure, but I’m going to guess it’s because He loves to see people come together united in prayer.

Anyway, I mentioned last post that I actually despise focusing on me at all. But I know many are waiting for answers….so here’s a brief update.

The ophthalmologist appointment yesterday was interesting and I walked away feeling like it was not a good fit. He did confirm the presence of large cataracts. Anyway, I have an appointment with a well-respected eye surgeon that my neurologist knows well and I’m relieved about that.

In the meantime my neurologist who has been a very close, trusted friend for the last 50 years (and actually he was the first person to diagnose the MS and I’ve mentioned him many times here at Our Place) has ordered an MRI of the brain and eye orbits as well as blood work. Those will help rule out many possibilities.

So there you have it. Thank you for your continued prayers. I promise to keep you all posted in the weeks ahead as I know more.

Next – a story you won’t want to miss! God is just so good to us all.

  1. Our God is so good. He is your rock. He hears and cherishes every petition being brought before His Throne of Grace and Mercy. I also lift you up to our Heavenly Father. Most importantly when this valley becomes a mountaintop we will in unison shout
    TO GOD BE THE GLORY
    Blessings dear sister

  2. Thank you for the update! I will keep praying. I just had a large cataract removed. It was a VERY easy surgery. But I had not had eye pain or headaches – just very hazy vision. And lots of halos around lights when trying to drive at night. I am incredulous that it is so much better. (I did pay extra to have a corrective lens inserted.)
    Sending love and prayers.

    1. Y’know…”they” said once upon a time that Ruby was never going to see. And I remember that story you shared about her rolling across the floor and knocking over Graham’s drink. On purpose, the stinker. So as we all continue to pray for you, and look forward to hearing how God has restored your sight….I am kinda secretly hoping that, as it returns, you will take the opportunity to prank some unsuspecting souls who maybe don’t realize yet that you can see again. Like mother, like daughter!! Jus’ sayin’. <3 <3
