Our Wild Adventure – Part FOUR

**Please forgive me in my long delay today in posting this…..I had two workshops to teach at the conference and the ministry time that ensued was powerful (but two hours long)….Yippee Jesus! The Lord moved with power and might and people were set free!! So anyway, you have to forgive me – – cause I really wasn’t intentionally not posting this…..LOL!!

Today I will try to tie up some loose ends and officially introduce you to our Elijah!!! **finger wagging** Eh – eh – eh – No peeking at the bottom – uh-uh – no cheating!! Read first – then you will see our sweet and precious handsome little son….

Last night Dw was reading what I had written and he asked, “Didn’t you tell them about the dream?” Ooopsie! Forgot that part. A couple of months ago I did elude in a different post to a very significant dream, but I had completely forgotten to mention it while telling the story of our Elijah.

Two nights before Dw left for Uganda he had a dream. In the dream there were lion cubs playing at the foot of a mountain and at the top of the mountain was a giant tiger. The cubs were playing and then eventually climbed up the mountain and onto the BIG male Tiger. They climbed all over him and after awhile the Big Tiger just leaned back and laughed and laughed and laughed.

When Dw awoke he knew that he knew that he knew it was a prophetic dream. It was the day before leaving for Uganda and he wanted to see if God would show him what that dream meant. He actually googled “Uganda” and “Tiger” and found out that the Finance Minister (I think that’s who it was) had declared that Uganda would be the African Tiger just like China was the Asian tiger.

Although that didn’t interpret his dream, he wondered if it meant that he would meet a member of Parliament or someone in authority over Uganda. He knew that it had been a dream from the Lord, but was perplexed as to the interpretation. So anyway, the interpretation of the dream is coming *giggle*- so hang on!

After that initial meeting that Dw had at the attorney’s office he needed to ask the Director of the Baby orphanage to come to meet with the attorney. She agreed and the meeting was set for July 11th. July 11th was a few days away and so they were able to go daily to the orphanage.

Dw was also teaching a pastor’s conference at the same time. So he would go teach the conference and by evening head straight over with Emma to the Baby orphanage to help in any way they could. He told me how Elijah always wanted Dw to carry him around.

He told me from time to time all about the other kids who were also there. They had even learned several of their names. Almost all are given English names, and most are Bible names. They have a worship time and Bible story in the morning with the little ones. He told me about Elizabeth who would lead worship and she was only 2! She would be leaving soon for the Big Orphanage. They leave before they turn 3. He told me about Bahoti who was just so adorable and he also would be leaving for the Big Orphanage soon.

These kids, as I said before, once they leave the gates of the baby orphanage are never, ever allowed to be adopted. My heart breaks for these little ones – the Elizabeths and Bahotis! Maybe some of you reading this may find your next little one in Uganda also??? **hint hint** Dw and Emmy are taking a team in late Spring/early Summer 2009 – any takers?? Come on! If the chick typing will in a few turn the big 5-0 year old and her hubby who is 53-2/3 can do it – and bring home a little one under two – you can too!! We’ll have a blast doing it together – do it! Do it! Do it!

On that note, at one point I asked if we couldn’t take two? =) My sweet husband said, “No Linny. You know we have Jubilee coming home and now Elijah, it would just be too hard.” I have been learning not to question this man of mine as he is God’s authority in my life and our home. I simply said, “Okay.”

He went on to tell me that there were other families there adopting from the same orphanage. There was, amazingly, a family who had come to pick up their new son, Philip and they were from Albuquerque!! That’s only 4 hours from us!! Philip was just about to turn two.

So as the days eeked toward his meeting with the attorney I did some fasting. I wanted favor with the attorney and the director of the Baby orphanage and, of course, direction for my husband! I googled adoption in Uganda and learned that there is no adoption until you have lived there three years! I knew that the couple from Albuquerque had not lived there three years, so yes, there were exceptions.

We must go before the courts and petition to bring a little one to the States. The legal guardian was the “loophole” – bringing them home as our foster children… Then after Elijah got to the States we could petition here to adopt him.

For the record, I was laying on the couch this entire week because of the horse injury and it was driving me crazy to not have seen Elijah’s picture yet. Dw was finally able to send it after he met with the attorney for the second time….but I can’t stand making you wait any longer…..Isn’t he just adorable?? And yes, the picture in my mind that God had given me of him was exactly the same!! i gasped when I saw it!!

Introducing the little son that God had told me about through the song, “Days of Elijah, Year of Jubilee!

This is the first pic I ever saw of him……Check out just how tickled they are with each other…. Is he not the sweetest little guy?
Okay, so how many of you scrolled down to check him out before reading? Yup! I knew it! Who can stand waiting to see a little orphan who has just found a mommy and daddy and his forever family??!?!?
For the record…..the VERY best part of the story is coming!!!! And I’m guessing many of you will do what I do when God does something gigantically huge – I always gasp!! OH YIPPPEE JESUS – the gasp is coming!!!
