A Peak Into Africa

There is a young man from the West Coast who is living in Uganda with his parents.  They are missionaries.  Emma and Graham met him when they were in Africa this past May 2010.  His name is Elijah and Elijah couldn’t wait for Emmy and Graham to return to Africa.  {From what I hear, Elijah has spent almost every day with the team!}
Today Elijah posted and tagged these pictures of my sweet hubby on Facebook.
Seriously, my heart was beyond excited.
An early glimpse into what the team has been doing in Uganda this time around.
He loves kids, can you tell!??
Boy-oh-boy, I love that hubby of mine….
a true glimpse into the exceptionally fun lovin’ crazy guy he is!!

 And this little guy’s name is Emmanuel.
I love the expression on both of their faces.
Mutual love and  admiration….
They flew out this AM to head back home.  They will be here tomorrow night {Monday}.  We cannot wait to see the pictures and hear the stories…
And lastly….
Emma has been unable to post on her blog due to the internet being down where they are staying {which has been very frustrating for her!}….but if you haven’t been reading her blog...her heartfelt posts have stirred friends far and near…..her love for the orphans of Uganda oozes from her…..may God continue to break each of our hearts with the things that break His….

  1. This time last year I was headed to Uganda for two months. I've been anxiously awaiting updates and also can't wait to see pics as I adore anyone who works in this country that holds my heart. Prayers they get home quick and safe!

  2. What a beautiful, sweet young woman Emma is… mature way beyond her years! God has definitely been breaking my heart with her posts! I've literally been sobbing over her last post. Wanting so badly to rescue those two little boys. With a 4 year old and a 2 year old at home, I can't seem to shake that image of two little brothers all alone in the slums with nothing. So difficult to understand. So difficult to not be able to do anything for them… truly heartbreaking. Linny, if someone wanted to adopt from the orphanage where they just were, how would one go about doing that ? Are you able to tell me? Maybe I could bring home one or two of the treasures Emma fell in love with? If it's possible, please let me know, please 🙂

  3. This makes me want to go back to Guyana like now!!
    I'm glad they had such a great time!
    Praying for a safe trip home and an easy transition once they return : )
