I ask that you guys would pray for my three foster children whose situation is in limbo. I ask that you pray first and foremost that God have His will in this (to go home, or not to go home), and then that we are able to stand up under the onslaught of extraordinarily bad behaviors that are brought on by extended family visits, and soothe their little souls (they are suffering greatly in this), and lastly that we will have peace with whatever happens. I am asking for prayer for the families in my immediate adoption "circle." One who is waiting for God's timing to start, another who is waiting for a judge's decision, and for our family. Twice now I have tried to post this, and twice it hasn't worked. Hmmmm….I am writing to ask for prayer for our house to sell. We have had it on the market for almost a year now and it will be going back on the market tomorrow. God told us almost two years ago that we were going to move. This move has everything to do with us going back into missions. Satan took us out for a time nine years ago with a house fire and consecutive devastation after that. The adoption of our daughter three years ago is what brought new vision and began the healing process for my precious family. This market is terrible, but God is not subject to a terrible housing market. There have been many who think we are crazy. This is a huge faith step for us, and it feels like we are finally stepping back into our skin(aka our life's purpose). I can see the promise land over the Jordan and God has said that we have to cross first. Oh the MBM stories I'll have to Glorify God on this one:O) In the meantime, we need this house to sell…BAD! Lord willing it will be soon. Please pray for our family as we walk through this. We are asking for wisdom about the price and for our children's hearts to be prepared, along with friends and family to let go. Also, for the family that is supposed to buy this place. My husband and I have been together 8 years and were married Easter Sunday. We have given our lives to God together. We have a very rocky past but the last week and a half have been absolutely wonderful. Please pray for my son, who is moving out on his own. It is bittersweet, so many emotions are sweeping over me. Pray for the Lord's perfect will for Chris. He has such a calling on his life, but he has strayed. So pray that this move will bring him back to the Lord and not further away.
Also, my husband still hasn't found a job. The building industry is not recovering. So all things financial that go along with that are a constant. But His faithfulness is constant too and we are so grateful. Pray for the mountains that are looming this month, huge financial decisions that i never dreamed i would face. But He is in the midst of it all.
Praise report from March's fast! My husband was hit with debilitating arthritis/gout, his bones felt like crushed glass in his whole body, he collapsed twice. The pain was unbearable. The Lord told me to change his diet (no gluten, no sugar, no inflammatory foods, etc.)It's been 50 days, he is pain free and dropped 40lbs! He feels strong, awesome and ready for that new job! Linny, I follow your blog regularly and thoroughly enjoy it! Thank you so much for being BOLD and for setting an example of Godly womanhood. You are such an encouragement and inspiration. I have participated in two of your fasting days, but have never posted a prayer request. Today, however, I feel compelled to humbly ask for prayer. I am currently living in Ch*na, studying abroad and will be interning at a foster home this summer. It has been a wonderful time of growth and seeking His face. However, It has been really hard at times especially because of the lack of fellowship with the body. He has proven himself to be MORE than enough, but I continue to pray for holy spirit power to accomplish what He's asked of me.

Also, I want to ask for prayer for my precious brother. He is a few years older than me and was also raised in a believing home. However, he has strayed far far away. His heart has become so hardened and arrogant. I pray for holy spirit transformation! I keep saying, "If my GOD can take Saul of Tarsus, and transform him into Paul-one of the greatest missionaries of all time, then there is not one thing that can stand in the way of God transforming the heart of my wayward brother!"

I am in need of prayer for myself and my daughter adopted from China. She has some developmental delays and behavior issues, especially at school. It has been a very tough spring in school for her (and me). I need to make some decisions about school for her next year and I am not sure what to do.
Please pray that I and the others involved in the situation are able to make the best decision to help my daughter. Also please pray that she be healed and be able to better learn so that she does not look at school as such a bad place.

We are in the process of adopting from South Korea. We expect a referral this summer and to bring our child home in the fall or early winter. However, my husband is deploying to Afghanistan in October, so please pray for wisdom and discernment as we decide whether to put our process on hold until he returns home in order to ensure that my husband is back stateside before bringing a child home. Although I don't have the time to pray through these requests right now. I plan on doing so when the girls I watch a put down for a nap this afternoon and after prayer meeting tonight at church.

I would appreciate prayer for my husband and I. There are many things going on in our nation that concern us. We are also very much wanting to witness to our families (we are both the only saved members of our immediate families). I know that we have to do it in God's timing and to this point we've been talking about things as we feel we are able but we are not really feeling able to talk about much often. Please pray that God would show us when to talk to them.

Also, June 14th is my last day of work. My husband doesn't have a job yet as he finishes student teaching one week from today and graduates May 14th. We are barely able to make ends meet as it is. We know God is the one providing though and we are completely relying on Him. My husband's student loans which were deferred come due on May 21st. That means he has about a week to find employment. Please pray for us both to find the employment God wants for us.

Also God has been laying orphans/adoption on my heart very much lately. I don't know what that means for me. We have so much student loan debt I know we won't be able to adopt any time soon. Please pray that God would show me what this means for me.

She is now at home with hospice care. They have seven children, the youngest is nine or ten. I'm praying that like Hezekiah,the Lord will grant her 15 more years of life; and that she would live to see her youngest son's children.

I'm continuing to ask for prayer for complete healing from chronic fatigue syndrome and it's many associated symptoms and complications. I've been sick for over a decade and have tried sooo many things and seen so many doctors. I literally don't know what to do anymore, and getting through each day takes so much effort and will. I have 2 young kids that need their mom.

I long to have more babies (through birth and adoption). I believe that God has put a desire on my heart for a large family. But that is impossible with my health.

My mother also needs healing from stage 4 lung cancer. Please pray that the Lord would move mightily on our behalf- that He would make a way where there is no way.

I'm requesting prayers for a former foster daughter of mine. She lived with me when she was 3 (my second placement) and was then adopted into her forever family at age 4. She is now almost 19 and was diagnosed with brain cancer two years ago. After surgery, it went into remission, but now she is very sick again. Pray for her and her family as they go through this very difficult situation and wrap her with God's peace. Thank you!

Please pray for my cousins little boy Zachary (4). Last week Zach was admitted to the hospital for what they later discovered was Ecoli. Zach was sent home Sunday afternoon. Monday Zach’s mom noticed his skin and eyes had turned yellow, Zach was jaundice. Zach is now at a Children’s hospital and has been diagnosed with a very dangerous form of Ecoli infection called, Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). In short the ecoli that caused an infection is now breaking down the platelets of his blood and in return also affects the Kidney function. Last night they had to give Zach a blood transfusion. Also, please pray for Zach’s older brother Preston (6), and sister Aryana (1) 3 hours away at home. Preston was very concerned and was asking if anyone knew God’s cell phone number.

Praying for all the needs! I am finishing two weeks of a four week liquid diet (due to surgery) and will continue to pray for the duration of this strange fast.

I ask for prayers of provision for an upcoming mission trip to an orphanage in Peru. Taking Linny's advice, I'm taking my 13 and 11 year old daughters, too. We are just so excited to love on the precious kids there and the neighboring kids, too. Unfortunately, I cannot find my daughter's certificate of citizenship and therefore cannot get her passport. Please pray that I will be able to get her replacement quickly!

I also have some childcare needs for my six other children while we are gone. That's always a challenge, but I trust God will provide!

Please pray for my marriage and my husband. He is in an adulterous relationship. I feel God hasn't shut the door on this marriage yet, and I pray He will work on her heart and his heart. She divorced her husband for my husband, so in a way, he is trapped – BUT for GOD! He hasn't filed for divorce from me yet, and it has been more than a year. I pray that God will move this mountain, pray with me! Pray also that a job interview TODAY will come to a job offer for my son! Praise God for moving mountains!

Please pray that both my husband and I get new jobs closer to home. We both work more than 50 miles from our house, and it's just not a good use of our resources (time & money). We are hoping to adopt one day, and money saved on transportation can go toward those expenses instead.

We'd also like prayer about adding children to our family. We've been married for almost 12 years, and it's still just the two of us. We'd love to have a blend of biological and adopted children, and we're praying for wisdom and discernment. I have some medical issues that make getting pregnant a challenge, but we know that the Lord is able! We're trusting Him in all of this, but we also don't want to fall into an attitude of complacency….we want to take action if that's what we're supposed to do. So wisdom and discernment…that's what we need:).

Our first child is due at the end of June. The other day while I was hospitalized with gallstones, they did an ultrasound on my abdomen and the baby. They are now concerned that our little one may have a growth problem. We have a follow up ultrasound on Monday. I know she's fearfully and wonderfully made no matter what it finds, but I'm praying for a healthy baby. She's our miracle girl to begin with.

I found your blog on a friends and have been following it for months. I have just started praying and fasting again, after several years of not following Him like I should. I will be praying with everyone in between classes and after school (Im a teacher). I also have a few requests

– That my husband's heart would soften for adoption – break our hearts for the things that breaks His.

– That we would get good jobs (we are both teachers/coaches) closer to my parents/family. We need to get our children in a smaller town and we need help with the kids.

– the lump under my arm – that it is nothing major

– the protection and health of my children

Today, my prayer requests include personal healing. I've been battling an annoying cough for about 2 weeks. My voice is my livelihood (as a counselor and professor) so I desperately need to be able to make it through a day without coughing!

Also, I would like prayer for direction. I feel God is changing the focus of my work and I while I can see several options, I want HIS choice to be very clear to me.

Lastly, we are in the midst of adopting our daughter's half sister. She is 3 and waiting for us in Taiwan. We need a LOT more money before she can join her forever family. I'm trusting God to blow us away with His faithfulness. He did it the last time and I know He'll do it again.

I love these days. I am 27 weeks pregnant (praise rom a previous day of prayer and fasting!) And am requesting prayer about me being able to stay home with my son when he is born. I want to be the one to care for him and to teach him about the Lord. I have wanted to be a mom my whole life. But as everyone know things are harder these days financially. I have a great job anmy husband does too. But mine pays nearly double what his does and we have several bills we pay to help my family. I know the Lord can provide though. Also, I would like to request prayer for my mom, dad, and my two sisters along with their fiance and husband). None of them regularly attend church. They have all (no sure about husband and finance ) given their hearts to the Lord. But these hard times have shaken them so much. They are focused on what they have instead of focusing on the Lord and His kingdom. I can see that they are missing out on so many blessings but they can't. And it is so hard to watch. our children are waiting in DR Congo. The last picture I received showed very despondent faces and no news, except to expect another 4 months before we'll be able to bring them home. Please beg God to allow them home sooner, or a way for us to go to them before then. I know in my spirit that something is not right with them . . . and they need their mommy now.

I have 3 requests:
1. Dealing with loneliness for myself and leaning on God.
2. My pinky finger is having some tendinitis, which is annoying, since I am a pianist
3. My friend's dad was in a motorcycle accident on Sat. night and has been in a coma in the hospital in Albuquerque since. Prayer for healing of his brain and for the family decisions.

Please pray for a 14 year old girl named Maddie who for the second time in a month just attempted to kill herself. She was raped last fall and has a world of burdens to carry around. Her father is my boss and just the other day I was able to speak to him about God and taking her to church. He was open to hearing about it as he's desperate for anything to help her. She is in the hospital right now.

Please also pray for my mother who has terrible nerve pain in her back, shoulders and arms and needs to have back surgery (for the third time in the past year). Pray for healing and relief from the constant agony.

Please also pray for me and my husband. God has been working on my heart for a while now and I really feel open to and a true desire to care for the orphan through adopting more children. My husband is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum having been very clear that he does not want more children. Lately I've been feeling my passion subside a little bit and I think it's due to the fear of it actually never happening and me wanting to protect my heart from disappointment and resentment. I know though that God is bigger than my fear and that he is capable to bring a change to my husbands heart. Please pray for change and softening. PLEASE.

My prayer request is for healing. I feel broken and empty. Even though I have come a long way in dealing with hurts from my past I still have a long way to go. God is asking me to trust Him and I am having a hard time doing so. I know in my head that he will never leave me or forsake me but my fear of abandonment is huge.

Praise- For the last two months I have been making an effort to honor God with my food choices after reading a book Made to Crave. It has been life changing. I no longer feel as if food controls me. As an added benefit I have lost 17 pounds. Pray that I can continue on this journey as well.

I had planned to fast today, but am now having a consult for a root canal at 2pm and they told me to eat first. Not sure why. SO if I am able I will fast dinner, or fast tomorrow, depending on medical instructions. Please pray for the root canal to go well. I had been saving money for sinus surgery and just when I have the funds for the surgery an expensive root canal come us, so I would be greatfull for prayers over my finaces as well.

Lastly I would like us to pray for the worker at the Orphanage in Uganda that Linny and her team went to. You know the one who was said to be mean to the babies. And another blogger also commented on her manner as well. I can't bear for these treasures to be treated badly when they should be safe at last. Please pray that God would overwhelm her with so much love that she falls to her feet and comes up a changed person. Either that or he brings her a blessing of another job where she is better suited, a good job for her as she may not leave otherwise. I would love some prayers for wisdome for me and that God would show me what to do on a few different {big} matters. I really just CAN'T do what God is asking me to do. end.of.story. It is confusing and I need God to come through big time.

I would also like some prayers for my sister who is waiting for us in Eastern Europe. We want her home, like yesterday. And she has been waiting SO long for a family. Please pray that her heart would be prepared for coming to Canada and having a family and that she will stay healthy.

Please pray that I can get through some major anxiety issues I've been having. I went through a really stressful time right after Christmas & have since had a lot of issues with anxiety. We are now expecting another sweet baby (praise God!!!) & I really don't want that stress on the baby!!

First, I want to praise God that I got news about my little man last night… according to his most recent x-rays, his bones have healed correctly and he won't need surgery for them!

Hand in hand with that praise is a prayer request: I fell in love with this little boy while I was in Uganda the past few months. Crazy as it may seem, God is leading me down the path of pursuing his adoption… but there are a LOT of mountains… and I'm getting a LOT of doubt and uncertainty thrown at me. Please pray for direction, guidance, and wisdom. As well as comfort for my heart now that I'm halfway around the world and not sure when I'll get to see him again.

I would also ask prayer for a boy on Reece's Rainbow. His name is Marat and God has put him on my heart to pray and advocate for. Pray that his family finds him soon!

I desperately need a job. I still owe my parents money for my 3 months in Uganda, plus all the bills and such that I'm facing now that I'm back Stateside. I am flat broke and applying to a lot of different places.

Finally, I am really struggling with being single. Please pray that God would help me trust in His timing and that, if it's His will, that He will allow me to meet someone soon.

Good Afternoon Linny and all the Prayer Warriors!

To let you know, I have been one of your "lurkers" for about a year now. I read your blog and participate in the prayer and fasting but do so without comment.

Today, I feel the strong need to communicate with you and all the Prayer Warriors. I am requesting prayer for my family. My husband was diagnosed last month with a brain tumor and surgery is not a good option as this point. He will be having a biopsy this month to determine whether the tumor is benign or malignant. He can work when he feels like it, otherwise, my paycheck is the only steady one right now. Please lift him and our family in prayer.

I especially ask prayers for me…strength to endure the roller coaster we are on, to be a support to him, ability to work and maintain homelife in the midst, and for my health, too.

In the past year, I have been dealt with sickness and loss. I was a part-time cargiver for my grandfather for almost a year until he passed away in August. My mom entered the hospital the same week her father passed away. She fought a brave fight and was able to return home 67 days later. She has struggled with Aplastic Anemia for two years and has been getting good reports for the last month.

I pray for healing for my mom, my husband, and for strength for myself and my two daughters. During the past year I have never let my faith in Christ waver, he is a healer!

First, last time I asked God to open up a part time job for my disabled husband, and PRAISE GOD Mike is working part time. Last time I told God that I would talk about Mike's beer drinking only with God and not Mike…. we need a breakthru. I have a job interview on Monday for a promotion, I am the underdog but grateful for the chance to interview. It would be days instead of evenings and more money. I would ask for God's will and His favor. Thank you all I am praying for all of you as well.

Wow. So many requests….and God hears them all. What a blessing it is that we have a God who hears and answers prayers.

My requests:

For my parents who have a lot of tornado destruction and damage. Getting back on their feet is proving to be an uphill climb. Pray for their strength and that God provides the resources they need for this.

For our adoption. The paperwork seems endless…not to mention the expenses involved.

For my sister, her husband, and their child. My sister and her husband have filed for a legal separation,and both are falling away from God. Pray that they open their hearts to His will and follow his command to love one another.

I have read and prayed over all the comments thus far and I feel so humbled by the enormity of some circumstances. I am so blessed, and yet my family's life seems to be in a season of instability (job loss, job changes, loss of insurance, surprise pregnancy, etc) with more to come this year. I believe it is to teach us to walk by faith and to prepare us for greater things. Please pray we are faithful in what He wants us to do, and that we make the most of this season. Thank you!

Our prayer requests are:
1) a Baby – whether through adoption or natural pregnancy, we feel that it is time for our family to grow from 3 to 4
2)Operation – I need to go for a procedure on the 16th of May & need God to give the surgeon wisdom & protection for me
3) Our businesses – We need the Lord's Blessing and provision, as well as wisdom for us
4) My parents (urgently) needs a buyer for their farm – God knows the details
5) Orphans around the world
6) Each person mentioned on this blog today and every need brought to God
7) The Lords Blessing on our plans to build our new home – this includes getting out of debt by liquidating some of our assets and we ask for God to keep His Hand on everything as we believe that we are doing what God wants us to do, but the enemy doesn't want us to be debt-free, so we are facing obstacle after obstacle

Thank you for the post for prayer and fasting. We are hosting a Walk for Orphans in our community on May 14th. Please pray that God's will and all that He wants accomplished will be fulfilled. I pray that God will move in the hearts of MANY on behalf of the orphan. Many have heard Kim M's experience in Kampala and He is already using those stories to move people. Please pray that my family will be embarking on an adoption journey in the near future. Pray for the hearts of my husband and children on behalf of the orphan. The need is great and I want to help many.

Through international adoption, we brought our son home from an Asian country, three weeks ago. He is a precious, just turned 4 year old. We are so blessed to have this boy in our life – he really is a sweetheart. Please pray for our 6 year old daughters, that God would bless them with His peace in receiving their little brother and let go of their jealous moments. Pray for my son as he adjusts to life in our family. That he would come to know, without doubt, that my husband and I will meet all of his needs on a constant basis. Pray that he will no longer indiscriminately give affection to any adult around – hugs and kisses to people he has just met. Pray for my husband and I to know how to deal appropriately with this behavior. Pray for me, that my social anxieties would cease. Pray also that the Lord would speak to me about how and when I can spend time alone with Him each day.
I am praising the Lord for each of you!!

1. Please could you pray that my husband can get some overtime at work. Due to the earthquake we had in February that has stopped. The summer is when we save hard to get though the winter months, but the earthquake cost us a lot of money. I prayed God would move him to the biggest store and a week later he told me he was moving. I smiled and thanked God.
2. I had a car accident in August, 2000. Praise God i can still walk, however my back was broken. I live with chronic pain. I feel shy about asking you to pray for healing and i don't know why. I feel God is asking me to trust Him in this, be brave and ask with no fear. Please pray i can do this.
3. My Triplets start school next year and we feel a Christian education is very important. We will need to move into town. Due to the earthquake rent has gone way up and houses are hard to find. Pray please that we find a house we can afford in a decent neighborhood and a house that suits small children.

P.S Linny i preached out our church last weekend. I preached about God's heart for the Orphan. I challenged them that now they know, what are they going to do. Can't wait to see where He takes them and us.

For the past several months I have been asking for prayer that a group of Eastern European orphans that I love dearly would be listed for adoption… Well, it looks like that's about to happen!!! Please pray that God would work these final details out quickly and that He would have families waiting to snatch them right up!

Also, I am currently looking for a job. I have been hoping/praying for a job in the field of adoption but there are very few jobs out there in that field and so far my search has not been very promising. Please for direction and that God would open up the right doors, whatever they might be. I am ready to bring home treasures of my own but first, I need a job.

I'm asking for prayer for our adoption. We've just started the paperwork for a son from China. Have looked at a few different files of 8 year old boys with cl/cp, and want to feel at peace about which boy we choose. So hard to pick one over the others. Also, for the funds for this adoption. Thanks so much, Linny, for your love that stretches so far!

On Easter Sunday, I sat in church as I have for 31 years and the word that came to mind was, "dead". I felt dead. I no longer felt the pride that Jesus had risen and did that to save me because he loved me. I need a relationship with Him. Please pray for me that I fall in love with Him.

Also, as a poster near the top said, (in words that could be mine) I just want to be a Mom. I've always known that and I find myself at 31, still single and wanting more than anything, to be a stay at home momma.

In reading, through these posts, there are some heart wrenching stories, and I pray that peace and answers come to you.

That I could get a job as an attorney, one that glorifies God and brings His Kingdom here on Earth. And that I wouldn't find my identity in whether or not He answers that prayer 🙂

Linny, I've read through the 169 prayer requests so far, including mine, and have prayed individually over most of them, but what occurs to me over and over again is that I don't know how to pray, to really pray, in the face of such deep and desperate needs. Is it what we actually pray that reaches God's heart, or is is just that we're *trying* that reaches Him? How does what we say in prayer matter when the needs are so big, so many, so varied, and yet all so much the same?

Please pray for God to give us clear direction for our adoption.

Hi everyone,
I feel very vulnerable to post details but please pray for me to move on and into that which God has shown me to go into – it is wonderful and i am excited but so shockingly nervous. I never thought I could be so nervous! REALLY!
I ask for God to gird me with strength and give me confidence in Him now all other confidence has just vanished! x

Prayers for my sister Holly…she has been battling chronic pain and needs healing. Also for God's supernatural peace as He moves her husband into a new direction with his career. Peace and energy and stamina and unconditional grace as the family moves into this next year with her husband's new hours and work load.

I have two requests Linny…
(1) Please pray for the city and people of Pleasant Grove, Alabama. This little town was almost completely destroyed by the tornados last week and they are suffering great loss.
(2) Please pray for me and my job situation. I've been a high school teacher for 12 years and really feel that this is not the place for me anymore. I have a strong desire/calling to be able to spend more time with my children – ideally working from home. However, I'm not exactly sure of what God's plan is for me and where he is leading me. I continue to pray for guidance.

We would like prayers that we would be assigned an officer at USCIS soon, so that we can (hopefully quickly!) get our final approval to bring home our son who we were matched with in September. We are so ready to have him in our home and in our arms. Trying to keep a positive attitude but when others pass you by, that is really hard….

I have been praying that we could adopt a child from Uganda. Unfortunately, my husband does not have adoption in his heart.

I missed "the day", but I, too, would like prayer for life direction. My husband and I both feel I need to be home more for our 3 kids who are each on the autism spectrum and are showing attitude issues, but our financial situation right now will not allow it. I have a work possibility that might help, but I need some training (costing money) in order to start. Praying for clarity and direction. <3
