We Must Never Forget…

those who’ve lost…
those who sacrifice day in and day out…

knowing all who’ve served will never, ever be the same….some physically changed, many emotionally scarred, all understanding that freedom is never free

Today, as our military family observes Veteran’s Day, please join us in not only honoring but praying for our military.  They are America’s true heroes.

Lastly, yet, no doubt, dearest to our hearts:
Tyler, we are so proud of you and so very honored to be your mom and dad.  Sarah and Charlotte, your sacrifices are many and just as real.  We love you three with all our hearts and, yes, we always miss you.  xoxoxo

    1. Thank you Aus, truly. I wish our bloggy friends could know our son, like really 'know him'. He just finished his 6th deployment with our nation's Special F*rces…where he is a leader of leaders. When Tyler was about 7 he came to me one day and said, "Mom, some day I want to be in the military – it will be my way of saying 'thank you' to the United States for letting me come home to you."

      I almost fell over.

What 7 year old thinks of stuff like that? From about that point on, he was unstoppable. He ate, breathed and slept military. He has buried friends and seen atrocities that are unspeakable…yet, he loves this land and will do all he can to keep war off of our soil.

His dedication to his men and his country is astounding to this mama. And on a personal note – He has the most hysterical sense of humor of anyone I have ever met. When my Multiple Sclerosis was debilitating, he would be at my side, doing anything that needed to be done {my husband was traveling a ton}…Tyler is fiercely loyal and steadfast in his resolve of justice {in whatever place injustice is found}.

And yes, to our family – he is a true hero. And I guess I think it's okay to brag on him a bit, as i didn't make him…he is truly an amazing young man. Thank you for the opportunity to share a bit about him…I just think most folks look at the military as a whole, instead of remembering that each one in it is someone's son or daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, mom, dad, cousin, you know what I mean? Bless you..
