We know we need their passports – but what else?? We are to leave one week from tomorrow. I am fully prepared that it will all probably come together next Wednesday since it seems that Dw and I know the Lord as Jehovah of the Last Second, but only if we pray!! Our flights leave at 11:00PM next Wednesday night.
So there are some prayer requests:
1. Please continue to pray for Gracie – a couple of posts ago. I was thankful to be interceding for them while they were still sleeping (if Gayle was even able to sleep) before they drove to the hospital this AM.
2. Please pray for Martha – previous post.
3. Please pray for the Passports to be completed.
4. Please pray for the VISA’s to be processed.
5. Please pray that we can be on the scheduled flights – this chica is missing her hubby and Isaiah and Liberty – BIG TIME!
Just for the record: I am not truly being naughty (yeah, I know all my closest friends won’t believe that!) with not posting many pictures of the other babies or my own. The internet connection here is soooooooooooooooo slow and then often, even after waiting a stinkin’ forever long time while it supposedly uploads – the box pops up that it didn’t work and that is even using the smallest size AFTER I have already resized it to take up less MB. ARGGHHH!!! Can anyone spell F-R-U-S-T-R-A-T-E-D????
Also, I have received TONS and TONS of emails at my APlaceCalledSimplicity@yahoo.com address. Please do not think I am neglecting you. I promise to answer each and every letter. First though, we could not even get on Yahoo until yesterday for some odd reason. THEN because of the lack of internet I am just not able to answer them, if I am going to post at all. Please, please, please keep the letters coming, all you lurkers you, but understand it will be a bit till I am able to write you back. xo
Lastly, many, many, many of you have asked about Adoption and Uganda and the upcoming Mission’s Trip Dw is leading in early June. (No, you do not have to attend our church to participate.) We will have more details about all of this in the not-too-distant future and I will be posting about each. So just start saving your pennies!! PROMISE the info will be available soon! The Mission’s Trip will enable you to serve at the orphanage, minister an afternoon in the slums and serve at the boys home. The purpose will be to serve. BUT, you just might find a sweet baby for yourself on the trip, if you are willing – cause you can bet we’ll be praying!! =)
praying all you have listed … and more!
xx, c
Good to hear from you again. We are always praying for you. It sounds like you have helped and touched so many while you have been there. DOn’t forget to take care of yourself too. One more week and those babies will be coming home with you. I know DW , Liberty and Isiah can not wait to seeing. Praise God for all the work you guys have done. God Bless!
Lisa
I added a playlist to our blog just for you guys… because after that confirmation about the word “MERCY”… one of the songs immediately came to mind.
“Mercy Said No” by Greg Long is one of my favorites. Would love to share the words with you. Will try to type them out as time permits, but please listen and see how much I felt this applied to these precious children!
Much love and prayer.
Rachel
Thank you for the absolute privilege of following your journey in Uganda, it has been SUCH a joy. Seeing the pictures of the precious children and life in Uganda has stirred so many things in my heart. And Martha—my goodness! There are no words.
I will absolutely be praying that ALL the paperwork gets done in record time and that NO obstacles would stand in your way.
PRAYING for you over the next few days, Linn.
With love and blessings,
Adeye
Linny and DW,
I’ve been so excited everyday to see the new posts. Elizabeth and Elijah are so beautiful. I know if I went with you, DW, I would want to bring all of them home. Good news is, many of my friends are anxious for you to come home to get more information.
I’m praying for you! You,two amaze me!!
