Meet This Little Treasure

Today we had the privilege of going to Jjinja and
spending the day with some of the most precious treasures
in the world.
One was a teeny-tiny girl who reminded me so much
of our Ruby-girl that I actually gasped when I saw her.
Isn’t she so beautiful?
Her name is Irene.
I was able to hold her and snuggle her and love on her…
and so did others on the team.
Irene’s already had surgery at the same hospital Ruby had surgery at.
She had a shunt put in and is doing well.
including Laura, who couldn’t get enough of her….
Doesn’t she look like Ruby?
Oh me.
How God loves each little itty-bitty-oh-so-vulnerable in the world.

    1. Little Miss Irene has a bio mommy and a twin {who does not have hydrocephalus}…so she won't be coming home with me…but my heart can see a few more with h in our home. Such treasures!

  1. She IS beautiful! She reminds me a lot of Miss Ruby! I know I'm where I'm supposed to be right now, but oh how my heart yearns to be there with the team. xoxo

  2. Oh My Goodness! – at first I thought it was an old picture of you and miss Ruby – the resemblance is stunning! I bet it was so sweet for you to hold her. So blessed to see these photos and all the supplies that were sent to equip Emma for ministry. Praying for you all!! xoxo

  3. I absolutely love reading your blog and seeing pictures of these precious treasures. I am actually traveling to Uganda this summer to work with Sole Hope and Light Gives Heat with my dad and best friend. I'm so excited to see what God is going to do! And I'm thankful for the glimpse of Uganda I can get from your blog. Thank you!

  4. Is there something that I can do/ somewhere I can donate specifically for Irene? I really feel like God has placed her on my heart, and while it might not be much, I'd be so happy to help in some small way, if possible.
