Christmas Eve and Christmas 2017 will forever go down in our family history as probably one of the rowdiest, funnest, craziest ever! The memories made were absolutely priceless!
I’d dreamed for forever of having matching onesies and jammies and this was the year! Of course the men in our lives were less than gung-ho (or more accurate would be, “Ummm, I don’t think so!”) but after some good old-fashioned womanly begging, finagling and strong duress they reluctantly agreed. But the truth is that it almost seemed that the onesies brought out the wild side better than anything could have!
Here’s a few random fun pictures….
Oh the fun we had under the moonlit sky! Our neighborhood might not ever be the same again!
The story behind the two pictures above just makes me laugh. And as much as I would like to share it, the rule for things like this is, “What happens in our home – stays in our home!” But there is evidence that the laughter was in full swing!
Karaoke was in full gear for hours!
Elizabeth had Graham’s name in the gift giving draw. Go Packers!
This miracle girl of ours loved every minute of the celebration!
Lest anyone think that we forgot the true meaning of Christmas, I can assure you that the joy was sweet only because of the birth of our precious Savior! Throughout the days we stopped to thank Him for all the miracles He has given us and done for us! He has been astoundingly faithful to us!
We are family because of Him. We have joy because of Him. We know forgiveness because of Him. We have peace because of Him. We love because He first loved us. And we love others because our generous God so loved the world, He gave His only son…that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. We cannot ever thank Him enough for sending His precious Son! He has been so very good to us – far better than we’ve ever deserved!
Do you have an extra kiddo in that last picture?
No we definitely don’t. The 9 that are still at home are pictured, as well as Graham and his wife Savannah. Sure would be fun though if we had one “hiding” there!
Sounds like you all had a wonderful Christmas!!! And the matching pajamas and onesies!!!! Awesomeness. <333 It's great seeing the gang (at least some of them!) all together!
God is soooo good—praying for you all today!
