Thank you so much to all who prayed. We are home sweet home. The trip was wonderful!
The Homecomings 5th Anniversary Banquet was a sweet celebration!
We met some of the sweetest people…
I thought you would love to see some pictures:
And even my sweet bloggy friend, Jean, from Minnesota {along with 4 of her treasures and hubby Jim} were able to attend. Jean and Jim had been in Iowa when Dw was in the hospital last summer, too. Dw was so sick, but they still wanted to come meet him. When I talk about Jean to Dw, I always say, “you know the ones who came to see you in the hospital in Iowa?”
So yesterday night, Jim and Dw met up again…and Jim’s first words were, “Wow! You look better!” haha Made us laugh. No doubt, while in the hospital, Dw looked like he was at death’s door!!
Uh-oh.
Oh.my.gracious.
I just realized…
Jean lives in Minnesota
but came to Iowa to see us, and now to Denver…..
I think she might really be an official blog stalker..
haha
j/k
I love you girlfriend dearly and loved seeing you again!!
We have talked Jim and Jean and family into coming to visit – next summer!! They promised!! And we’re holdin’ them to it!! {They are our age and adopting number 10 and 11…..living courageously for the orphan…soooo very honored to call them precious friends!!??}
The Director of the Homecomings Ministry at Cherry Hills…..
Becky and her husband Brad! {such sweet, sweet people!}
Speaking…
Serena, a precious bloggy friend…
Some of the Homecomings leadership team…
{and some of their treasures}
The ride home….
Playin, shoppin, swimmin…all sure can make a guy konk!!
Anyway, Graham held the fort down and made sure Grandma was okay.
It was so great to meet you last night, Linny! I was so encouraged by the word that you gave and that much more encouraged after talking with you afterwards! I'm still chewing on all that you said last night.
I hope we get a chance to see each other again sometime in the near future.
I know you blessed everyone's socks off!!! So lucky for all of those who got to hear your heart!!!
So did you give and get a hug from our friend, Jean?
Welcome home! Sounds like a great trip!
Loved seeing you sweet friend!! And seeing that wonderful hubby of yours! He is looking much better!! Whew- he had us worried last time in Iowa!
Loved being there last night! I keep thinking of all you spoke about!
Your little ones are so adorable- It was so much fun seeing them in person! Jubilee is blossoming- such a blessing!!
I can't believe it was Elizabeth! I thought for sure it was Elijah! It just must have been too much fun- she couldn't resist!
Linny – when I read your post I had the strongest desire to have been there to meet both you and Jean in person – two such sweet bloggy friends who have supported Kevin and me through our adoption journeys (at our age!!)
Instead of the Red Hat Society, we, ahem, "older" adoptive parents could form the "Gray Headed Parent Society" – wouldn't that be fun!!
Hugs from Indiana
